Well my season is over, it was in the 20s last night so we took both the motorhome and trailer down to dump the tanks. Apparently everyone else had the same idea...took about an hour to get that done. Started draining fresh water tanks and will be putting in RV antifreeze this week. Until next year...
We still have 2 more trips, I will put my camper to bed after Thanksgiving. I need to winterize the boat, the lake is really too low to safely cruise. I did fill the Chevelle with 87 non-ethanol and Sta-Bill and parked her in the trailer, no more shows are scheduled this year.

This was after two others finished up.
I bought a macerator pump and it was the best money I've ever spent. no more searching for a place to dump

I've never searched, there are 3 stations within 3 miles of my house in which to dump the tanks. Only go out for weekends and typically only 100-200 miles from home.
So forgive me for my ignorance, but I've occasionally wondered about this question, where do you dump the 'macerated black water'?
I stick the garden hose in the toilet. I now stick the hose as far into the trap as I can the first time I just had my kid hold it over the toilet but the smell was nasty. Now i stick the hose down the hole close the lid and put something heavy on the lid.
They have closed all the places around here where you used to be able to dump. The closest place is now 45 minutes away and I have to pay for a night's stay

I've never had to search too far for a dump location, but of course we are spoiled and don't "rough it" much while on the road as we typically stay at full hookup sites or at least at CGs with a dump facility on the way out.
John, did you get out on any good trips this season?

I dump mine in my sewer clean out at my house. It's 120' from my rv parking spot but 20' sections of PVC easily bridge the gap. I loosely assemble the pipe and connect it to the clean out with a "sweep" 90. Buy the 20' PVC that has the couplers made on and it really is a piece of cake. I store the sections in pool sweep hooks on the back of my shop.
I don't use it allot but it is really nice to be able to just go home and not sweat finding a dump.
I am going to use my septic cleanout too but I need to extend the pipe through my fence. It will be so nice not having to stop and wait at the dump stations after close by trips.

Nothing exciting since March just some weekends, it's been a slow year I doubt we'll hit 28 nights this year. We were in Charlotte Michigan this past weekend.
...I use a product called "sewer solution" to pump mine though not a macerator.
Thanks much. I'll have to check that out for dumping at home. I've used the blueboy a couple of times here, but PITA doesn't describe it due to location of camper and sewer clean outs.
Used clear ProFlex to seal weatherstrips around the slides and Dicor on the roof. Washed the camper and found I need a new black water valve. Gotta keep up with this stuff or it will get away from you.
The only thing that surprised me was how much more weight I could transfer with the Hensley vs. the Equalizer. With weight bars engaged. Weight bars released.
