From experience, if you can turn the stinger the other way and adjust, the stinger seems to be close to the ground.
It's not any lower then my equalizer bars. In fact... if you mount the stinger down, you can use the lowest hole for a skid roller and avoid the equalizer bars from hitting.

If Dave's EX is a 4X4 (pretty sure it is), the ride height difference between a RWD and 4X4 may make dragging the bottom of the stinger much less of an issue.

My camper has been at the dealer for a couple of weeks getting the front cap painted and a few other odds and ends. It is scheduled for pickup on Saturday so I called the dealer last week to check on it's progress.
My normal advisor was on vacation, the advisor I got couldn't find the campers paperwork, she was going to call me back. 2 Hours went by and I called again, I got another advisor. Couldn't find the paperwork and will call me back. 2 more hours go by. I called again and got the service manager (he and I don't hit it off). He tells me in a curt way everything has been completed and it is getting the paintwork done and it will be ready on the agreed upon date. I told him it acted like the camper was MIA and I was wondering what was going on. He said the camper is safe and in their possession.
This has pissed me off because he almost assumed that a customer should not check on their vehicle when in the shop AND for the sheer fact they did not call me back AND that they didn't know what was going on with the camper when I called.
I will be glad for the Ex to pull the thing back home this weekend.
It all started because my camper was dropped off one time with the ProPride. I was nice this time and removed the hitch for them so their tractor could move it around.

As I recall, to get the correct hitch height the shank has to be either up or down based on how high the coupler needs to be. Each way you put it together achieves a specific height and there is no overlap with it up or down.
Mine is down and I have scraped slightly one time in many thousands of miles.
Went to see the eclipse in southern IL. Stayed at an excellent COE campground on Rend lake. Beautiful lake and great facilities. Wish we lived closer. CG was full when we got there on Sunday night, about half full Monday night and nearly empty by Tuesday afternoon.
We made the reservation on March 28, there were still a decent amount of spots available then. The lakeside spot we moved to on Monday evening, it was open until Thursday which was when we left. The eclipse was about 1 minute where we camped, but we drove a bit south to get close to the centerline and it was 2 min 40 seconds.
South Marcum campground. If you ever go there, site 79 is amazing. And almost always booked!
Thanks, I don't live in Il anymore but looks wonderful. I wish I had known about eclipse sooner. I would of booked something a long time ago! We still had fun at home but only 60% as much. 😉 I've tried to book up in mountains here in SoCal for even just Perseids meteor shower months in advance and all taken already!
