This is an anecdotal observation but, I redid my travel trailer roof last year with a nano ceramic roof material, more specifically, Dicor EPDM insulating roof coating.... seems to make a difference to me. A/C doesn't work as hard. Holding up well too, just got pressure washed.
Additionally... For those who are looking to restore the gelcoat on their composite trailers... this stuff is the bomb, Boat Wax, Marine Polish, Fiberglass Cleaner, Gel Coat Polisher highly recommended. Use it on my boat but works equally well on my TT. NOT FOR PAINT.
Interesting on the wash/wax. I ll have to check that out when I finally run out of the
Electrical panel was securely fastened to this sturdy piece of 1/8" luan. The surge protector and deck mounted charger are going back in amongst the spaghetti.
The thing that kickstarted this whole job was I had to get some weight off the tongue. The obvious choice was the 115 lbs of batteries. First thought was just stick em on the back bumper, but it just didn't look right. That's where the AGM battery came in. I wanted at least as much capacity as the 6 volt batts were giving me. Sizing up my available space and the cost of the batteries, went with the big dog. Couldn't bring myself to buy the Chinese knockoff for $200 less.
Found a bin that fit the battery and barely fits in the compartment.
It goes under the stove on the back wall. Was able to vent the bin through the outside shower, no new holes in the wall.
Added a 100 amp circuit breaker, also serves as a disconnect. The other box is for the shunt that is part of the trimetric battery monitor system, all the grounds go through the shunt. The feed that was coming from the front got a 30 amp breaker and is still hot for the jack and charging circuit from the truck. 6 gauge wires into the existing panel.
The luan was replaced with 1/2 plywood with lots and lots of paint on it, finished product looks good and works great.
Hoping this gets me back under 1400 lbs on the toungue. The math says it will.
After 2 months of the camper sitting we are getting it ready for a 4th of July weekend trip to Warrior Creek in Wilkes County NC. I am flushing the water system out and the wife has cleaned it up inside. We need to shop and resupply the essentials.
The boat is also finally ready for this trip, I had to replace the oil pan and front cover gasket and add a balancer sleeve to it to stop an oil leak. All of the essentials for ground tackle will be here this week.
I finally cleaned up my garage today after putting an oil cooler in the Ex early this spring, replacing the engine on the Dodge and doing head gaskets and the oil pan gasket on the boat.
We have done the boat and TT together thing a couple of times, makes for a great trip but it is a lot of work getting everything ready before the trip. Have fun!

For years my wife has not wanted to learn how to pull a trailer. On Friday she is driving the Durango pulling a 20' boat for 100+ miles, she will quickly learn it does not handle like her Fusion. Baptism by fire.
Boat and travel trailer requires another tow vehicle for me. Planning a "scalloping" trip this summer in a town called "Steinhatchee". This ain't my video but .... you'll get the idea.
Started out with reported tornadoes passing to the north and a whole lot of rain and wind, but turned out to be a nice weekend. Guardians of the X awaiting chipmunk and squirrel treats. Tows so much better (with authority) than the Grand Cherokee, and no major mods done yet to suspension or drivetrain, just a trans maintenance and the same WD/AS setup. What a huge gas pig though! I remember saying, "honey, we'll convert it to diesel if we need to for distance and for the mountains". That may be a lot sooner than later, but will try and uncork it and rune a tuner first. Still can't beat the space and load.
Departing home soon to get the free trailer in MD, via Indiana. I need to get a brake controller and a hitch. What say you? Tekonsha P3 seems to be a unanimous choice. I'm not sure I'm ready to dump 2K on a Hensley or ProPride? Is that the final word or there other viable options?
