Progress ... hanging sheetmetal!!
A little update. My family is coming down from Chicago to do the annual city parade. Its on the 30th. Hard to believe its been 3 years since Ron drove us in the same parade. The truck is running great. We have been using it just about every weekend.
Finally progress on the Buick: Dropped off the motor 4 months ago at the engine rebuilders and its finally been built. Its going on a dyno this week for break in. It will be nice to drop it back in the car and go. I should be picking it up next week. In the meanwhile I'm trying to get other things done on the car. I replaced the tires. I hate to admit it but the last time that was done was 1997. I had maybe 6K miles on them but I know they were unsafe due to their age. My boys wanted big tires in the back and they convinced me to go with 275/60/15's in the rear and 235/70/15's in the front. I have enough clearance in the back. I was running 245/60/15's all around. The original unrestored 15"x7" 1970 dated coded rims cleaned up great. I spent hours polishing them with rubbing compound and I repainted the centers. I ordered some new lugnuts (still using the original ones) I may buy a new set of center caps. I also pulled out the front bench seat and its at the upholstery shop for new foam. The foam was breaking down and making a sticky yellow mess in the car.
Bored 30 over now a 462
Rears
Fender well clearance about 1.5"

The buick is looking good (well what I can see.
)I look forward to seeing it all together and hearing it run. (Yes, you are required to take a video.)
Also, can't wait for the parade. Enjoy!
Any word on the Thompson?

Will post some videos of the car running. I may get a video of the dyno too.
I think you made a great choice on the tires with the big-n-littles.
Have fun in the parade.
