Good news and better news, now that is pretty cool in my book. After all the work you did to bring the truck back to its former glory, its worth a few $s to keep her safe , sound, and out of the weather. A happy truck is a healthy truck. Take care.
Thanks Guys you all were right something else came along. At least I am not in panic mode anymore LOL. Yes, Joe I guess I'll be working on her at home.
Jim, the guy is asking way too much for those trucks. They obviously need tons of work and $$$ to get them back on the road. It would be nice if they could be saved. As far as I know I don't believe they are any restored ones out there.
Again guys much thanks for all the encouragement. I got an email yesterday form the man who is sending me the helmet fronts. They are in the mail and should get them in a few days. Can't wait!!
I received the helmet fronts today! They are beauties! There was a Captain Frank Riley on the Patrol so maybe it was his. These are very rare and they almost never come up for sale on eBay.
Joe, I thought the same thing. I believe they are from the late 40's early 50's. The later 50's officers fronts didn't have a unit designation. Like this Lieutenants
Thanks Bobby! Here are a few pics of her new home. Its going to be tight. I wish I had the bay 2 doors down so I could back straight in. I already talked to the management about moving to another space when it becomes available. Remember no power steering!!
View from the bay. Its around 30 feet to the posts. The truck is 25 feet.
Going to be a tight turn into the bay.
I hope one of these become available so it will be a straight back-in!
