I went to a local show today and won 2nd place and the prize was $250. Its the first time I ever won any money with the truck! First prize was $500 and 3rd was $100. The guy who took 1st had a Sema built car. I think the fire truck was better

I just discovered this thread. Incredible job on the truck. My grandfather retired as a firefighter (he passed a couple of years ago now in his 90s). I chose to go in a different profession so firefighters would have someone to look up to

Keith- Nice hardware and $$ to boot! way to go. If they would have considered the amount of time each of you personally spent to get the car & truck to the condition they are in you would have had 1st, 2nd & 3rd plus all the $$$

I made a call today to the organizer of the Toys in the Sun Run about finally getting the truck in the run. He said to send some pics and he would let me know later if he would allow it. A few minutes after sending them, he called me back and said you are in! I've been wanting to make this run for years and it never worked out. They actually shut down the major highways to let the vehicles and 30K plus motorcycles drive to the park. Here is a short video of some of the vehicles arriving at the park. I plan on shooting some video along the route. it will be fun and the kids are excited!
