Ok so I made a video of the current condidtion. we installed the fuel accumulator yesterday and I think it didnt help. I should have bet joe money on that one. I didnt think it would help from the get go. SO Im loading the video as I type, will post it when finished.
PS: that jerk Joe didnt even get a tan????? Who goes to mexico and doesnt get a tan??????
hey guys I watched the video and don't have any ideas right now, but will continue to think about it...I know you gotta be frustrated, I could hear the sigh in the video...you should post this on your other thread about this too, or did you already? hang in there it sucks i know. Hard to hear over the exhaust. just don't know at this point...sorry...
have you had a vacuum guage on the intake manifold while under a load?
It may not tell you much though, because it should drop under a load, of course you would know that...sucks that you guys are having this issue...
pretty good job on the video though!
And I can't remember now, but did you ever have a fuel guage hooked up under a load to see that it was maintaining pressure? Just revving it up sittin in the drive may not be long enough to produce a pressure drop, if it is going to drop off. make sense?
I don't honestly expect this to be a vacuum leak. If it was, then it would be more of an idling issue, because thats when the vacuum would be at its highest, for the most part.
So, does it idle smoothly or miss at idle too? It sounds like it's not firing on all cylinders. Have you tried a fuel pressure gauge on it as it goes down the road? My other thought is that the spark isn't strong enough to fire under load. One lat thought. How sure are you that the crank/cam are synchronized correctlly?
Was that black exhaust in the video? If so, have you tried pulling a spark plug or two after it dies to see if they're wet? Are they gapped properly? Maybe you should decrease the gap to get the spark to jump it inside of the cylinders instead of outside?? Another thought. When its completely dark, mist the engine with water (Windex is my favorite) and start it up to see if you have major voltage issues. My Transport looked like the Fourth of July due to cheap plug wires. Actually, this is my favorite idea at the moment.

I have sprayed brake cleaner all over every thing. and idel doesnt change at all. so no leaks as from brake cleaner.

sittin in the drive way it will idle very smooth for hours, you could even rev it up as high as you want and it wouldnt hurt. then go drive it under any sort of load and it boggs.

ok thats a good idea I guess LOL. we dont havd the alternator hooked up right now, cause not sure on the wireing for it. O and Im sure that wasnt black exhaust. Ill check the spark plugs again. later tomorrow night.
hey guys i am not going to ask how its going...
did you ever hook up the fuel press. guage to the fuel rail and watch it as you are trying to take off? This one goes round and round! like some of the thoughts I have! I got a bad case of "CRS"
I don't remember if you did that or not...and what the results were. if you did. LOL im about ready to suggest a carb.! I keep checking up on ya and sometimes I think,"im gonna get on here and they will have figured it out!"
i am gonna hold my breath until you figure this out!!!!
you got it yet? ok just messin around...im done now...sorry...its not funny, i know.
I keep watching the video and listening to it. I know that it is a video but, it sounds to me like it is sluggish even when revving it up in the driveway...I wish someone else would chime in here and give their opinion...it just doesn't seem very quick to respond to the pedal...
edit: and then the second time you take off it seemed to do better taking off? right? did I dream that?

I have not looked at the fuel pressure while running under load. I will bring home the tester wed or thursday night. and will also try the water mist test as well. havent had time to work on it lately.
