Aaron you should also do the upgraded turbo oil lines, I also put on the head coolant lines to help flow the coolant through the heads.
They are only $100 and can only be done with the heads off.
You should also put on the fuel crossover line and do the 6.4 banjo bolts on the front of the heads.
i was reading into the turbo lines, havent found any info on the coolant lines yet, i will search that right now. i will have plenty of time to research exactly what i need to do while i am living in the hotel on LI for the rest of the week.

i have heard a few people who like E&G. i have been using Kiwi Engineering in old saybrook for years now, if he is too busy when it comes time i will check out E&G. as for the 7.3, i will always be a 7.3 enthusiast. i would rather fix an engine than try to maintain an already rusted body, and a clean bodied 7.3 is going for too much money. besides, i dont like superduties so if i was going to cheat on my OBS 7.3 i may as well go all the way! my next truck will be a v10 3v. then the only thing i will need to worry about is a blown out sparkplug or the idle air control. both fixed for under $30 and under 1 hour.

Aaron and Pete, the 6.0's are a good motor just a few weaknesses.
The headgaskets ( fix with ARP's ) and the EGR ( fix with delete ) and then they are a reliable power plant.
The 7.3 trannys are crap, the 6.4 has bad MPG's so they all have down falls.

I wish it were only "bad". At least I have Projekt StreaMPG to offset it a little.

Check out my 58 quart drain pan!! It's sweet. I can drain the 7 gallons of hydraulic fluid and all the filters at once without moving the thing. Comes in pretty handy!

I just finished the major service on the 4210 yesterday. I noticed that the front axle is leaking on my garage floor, so I went down and purchased the MFWD spindle housing seal. It looks like a b*&#h to put in.

On a more sour note, I lent it out this weekend, and it came back broken again. This will be the third time he has brought it back with more than $500 worth of damage. Luckily, everytime he pays to fix it. Pretty soon I will have a brand new machine, which I guess is good.

Yes Miles but I don't think a 5.4 would like a daily weight of 12k with an occasional GCVW of 23K with my loaded dump trailer.

i blame the VW for taking away the ARP fund. i was going to put them in before the gaskets leaked. looks like my opportunity ended a month ago. not a big deal, its just an excuse to perform some upgrades i told wifey no more towing horses until it gets fixed, unless its an emergency.

andy, i helped my cousin put exhaust on his 6.0 so i now have a complete stock system, mainly the stock cat that i can cut and straight pipe for my truck. i dont want to kill my cat because i might get called out on it for emissions. now i can keep one eco-cat and one cat-no-more.

I don't think so either but its good for the BS and light towing I do. My uncles 04 6.uhoh has been decent, with engine at almost full load all the time. It's a 550 dump that hauls sand and a bobcat in summer and plow and sander in winter. He's only had 3 injectors replaced and the ic boot blowing off which we fixed.

Andy I'm just getting the manifolds cleaned up and decked. It's 60 bucks or so to get them decked and they're already off so there's really no good reason not to do it. I don't wanna have to worry about it again.

Aaron, I got the recommendation to go to E&G from a friend of mine who does heavy equipment repair for a living and has a 24v daily driver/pulling truck.
