For a month now I've had an issue with the truck not shifting from first to 2nd easily once the truck got warmed up. had it diagnosed by 2 ford techs and 2 tranny shops and did everything they said to do including rebuild the tranny. Nothing helped. Today I took the pcm out of the cradle and put it under the hood to see if it was affected when my cab temperature changed thinking the engine compartment would be much cooler especially today. I drove for an hour which is longer than I have been able to in weeks without any issue at all so hopefully I found the solution. I have a can of freeze it in the truck now with me and if it acts up i'll super cool the pcm and see if it helps. but so far so good, Looks like a custom burned pcm from dptuner may have been all I needed all along.
Good early evening guys. I'm glad I joined here, it's more active than any other forum I'm on with the exception of one.
I spent the day driving the new truck, getting used to it and making my final mirror adjustments... just finished my first mod. Put a PAC audio iPod integration system in it. It wasn't too bad... the worst part was making it all fit in there. But it fits, it works really well. Finally I don't have to listen to the darn radio anymore. I was going to just let it go with the F150 but I decided to take the 5 minutes and pull it out, I'm really glad I did! On it's way is the adapting cable to adapt it to charge my iPhone (thanks to Best Buy Rewards!).
I should be having the windows tinted this week. Maybe ordering an Airaid intake too. I'm still waiting on that, so I can time it with an exhaust and tuner combo as well. I haven't had the truck but 24 hours and I already have a list! lol
