I don't know about you but I've got to stop and ****/stretch my legs every few hours. At 60mph average 300 miles would take 5 hours. Exactly how often do you need to drive more than 5 hours without stopping? Are you going to install a bathroom too?
The ride up to the family cabin in the Adirondacks is about six and a half hours without traffic congestion, yes I can make the trip non-stop without an accident. Unfortunately I have to refuel first thing after getting to the cabin as there isn't much fuel left on board for tootling around.
Also with the long commutes I've been doing for work, I could just about go a week without refueling provided all I did was go back and forth to work during the week. I'd rather deal with the gas station just once a week and figure I'll likely never be close to empty before I got to the gas station.
Bummer andy Most of the people I know have it as well, it's a nasty bug. I kinda wish that were my problem now though to be honest. My new PCM just came and the truck is no better. A major kick in the ***** after all the $$ I have spent replacing and rebuilding everything the ford techs and tranny shops have told me to.
