Morning/Afternoon CT! I might be ordering more stuff for the truck tonight... looking at adding OEM fog lights to it up front. Found a sweet setup with the factory harness, buckets, and switch in a complete kit on eBay from some dealership. Looking at about $290 shipped.
Evening all.
Aaron your cat ran away?
Does it sound any better, now you need to get rid of the muff.
Well I feeling a little better.
I hope I am up to going to the Harlem Globetrotters tomorrow night with the scouts.
i think a coyote got it. it whistles a lot, but its not loud at all. i am not going to straight pipe it for the same reason you put your muffler back on, i dont want to be pulling a trailer for an hour with a straight pipe pounding away at my ears. i would like to get a nice 4" exhaust for it with an aftermarket muffler though. after head studs and egr delete.
Did some makor surgery today on the JD to fix the leak in the front end. Worked out mint, so far. no leaks. I had to rent a tool from DH Marvin to do it, but I have plans to order the tools tomorrow when I return the rentals. I guess this is something that needs attention more often than it should.
I must admit, it was a lot of fun to do it. I have to do more of my own repairs like this.
Next up, the VW, probably a little bit over the weekend.
Brendon you'll be pleased to know that I'm considering buying one of those German sauerkraut-mobiles. Saw $4/gallon diesel today on my way home. Looking at used Jetta TDIs manual trans only. Figuring on buying one putting a brandy new timing belt + tensioner on it then parking the Powerstroke for a while once fuel gets high.
They are (covering aaron's ears) good cars. What years are you looking at?
The years with a low price tag. 2000-2003 are the ones I've been finding within my price range. I'll be looking a lot more seriously after work picks up again come spring.
It's pretty bad that I've got mods planned for a car I don't even own yet...
