you mount the hand clutch on the shifter, looks similar to a brake lever on a pedal bike. grab shifter pistol grip style, squeeze clutch in, shift, and then release lever
Your hand will never be strong enough to use a hand clutch without a electric/hydraulic or other helping aid.
I was just thinking the same thing. But imagine having the lever operate a rheostat, controlling a little motor that operates the throw-out lever. Set it up so it disengages at full speed and engages in sync with the hand lever.
