don't know man. she just took off running with a toy fishing pole, don't think she even intended to mess with the burn pile, more or less just ran into it on accident. the wife is all tore up about it because when ever we go out places she keeps track of the daughter and i watch jr. tried to tell her chit happens. you can't hold the kids hand for the rest of her life and eventually kids get hurt. this is the third time alyssa has got hurt bad, and it never gets easy seeing your kid in pain, but you can't always prevent every accident.
Mu little bro found out what hot ment by pulling a hot iron onto his hand/arm, really bad burn, but he learned and healed up,and didn't "scar" him for life.
i had a thing for jumping out of trees and off of other tall stuff. luckily the only major injury i ever got from it was a sprained ankle.
kids are fearless.......until they get hurt by something. best way i ever heard it described is "everything is smiles and cries to small children." once they know what makes them cry, they tend to stay away from it.
on a much brighter note my boy has become very vocal in the last week. he cruises around the house saying "da da da da da". i'll accept that as his first word being dada, :WINNING:
The antithesis of what I hate...
Any day now we should find out if my young'un is going to be a kick boxer (bc soccer players are sallys). Lauren says she can feel him flip over and stuff but hasnt felt him kick yet.
my only fear is she'll associate it with carnivals and parades. this weekend was wenona days, kid had a blast besides getting hurt at the end of it all. she got a metric shyte ton of candy at the parade, rode a bunch of rides, wanted to play with "the big doggies" (horses at the mini rodeo) and surprisingly she loved the hell out of the burnout competition.
this is 'merica, we don't do no sissy fwd burnouts, just motorcycles, r3al cars, and trucks. it was kind of lame this year. a mustang won, and a late model hopped up gmc on 37's came in 2nd. small turnout this year.
oh, about the kid kicking, that stuff will creep you out at times. jr was a beast in there, you'd see hands and feet popping up and an occasional head popping up when he'd stretch and do the flips. oh, and if you two snuggle up while sleeping prepare to feel that stuff all night. it's gonna be awesome when your kid kicks you in the spine whilst still in the womb
