damn ethanol gas that is shoved down our throats by the gooberment.
i went to cut the lawn today, and the mower died halfway through.
so i broke out the string trimmer.
it ran 5 minutes before that died too.
took them both apart, and the fuel lines disintegrated due to the damn ethanol crap!!
and parts are not available unless i get them online.

Holy smokes Tom....... sounds like time for a nap!
Speaking of ethanol, the gooberment dumped millions of dollars into building an ethanol production plant here in western Pa just a few years ago. Since they built it, the price of corn has steadily risen, due to many factors (drought, floods, and increased demand from ethanol production). Even with the government subsidizing the price of corn, it has risen to the point that it is costing way more to produce ethanol than they can sell it for. They shut the plant down this summer, and it is now in bankruptcy. Rumor is that it will probably be demolished unless the price of corn magically comes down. What a friggin waste...
You know what I hate? Busted parts. I've had a bad year. Here's the list:
'79 F250 2wd - Busted tailshaft housing on the C6
'03 Kawi Prairie 650 - Dropped a valve in the front cylinder, still waiting for a teardown
'83 Honda Nighthawk 650 - Starter went belly-up, then disentegrated when I tore it apart. Honda wants $400 for a new one. Also needs new fork seals.
'79 F350 4wd - Busted 1356 T-case - as a result of the truck pulls last night.
On top of that, the mounting screws fell out of the carb on the 300/6 in my '77 F350 dump, so it currently doesn't run.
The only thing I own at the moment that still runs is the '04 Super Duty... and I'm pretty sure the throwout bearing is on borrowed time...
If it was a 6.0L Powerstroke it would be dead too. Trust me, I have three and it's everything you can do to keep one running unless you want to throw 10 grand at it.
I have yet to see an advantage to ethanol unless you are running a high compression engine and guess what 99% of the cars on the road are designed for regular unleaded.
STOOOPID!!!!!!!!! Government/greenies.
the diesel ricer queermo's that moved in next duplex over from me. bunch of punkarse kids with loud diesels and loud trucks all together tearing back and forth in front of the house. i especially hate the d-bag who obviously just finished his sbc swap into a lowered s-10 that keeps ripping past laying on the pipes to impress his barely out of high school friends.
gotdayum, i must be getting old
p.s. damn kids! stay off my lawn!!!!
or ur brian is growing new brain cells to replace the one u lost when u where young

Fortunately it is a V10. Damn tough motor. Just got back from Carlisle All-Truck Nationals, towed my buddies' Fummins 4 hours each way through the mountains in Pa. She won't win any races, and likes her gas, but geez that thing can take a lot of abuse. Might be a contributing factor in my noisy throwout bearing...
Believe me, it is no coincidence that it has a V10/6spd/manual 271. I looked everywhere for that combo and jumped on it when I found it. With all of the 6.0 horror stories, and the completely ridiculous prices for used diesel trucks around here I wouldn't touch one with a 10ft pole.
tom probably can too, he's just too much of a cheap *** to spring for the extra 20 cents a gallon for premium
negative capt lazy.
we can only use ethanol enhanced gas because new jork chittty has polluted the atmosphere so bad, the gooberment said we must burn that crap so we get reduced MPG, therefore we burn more fuel, creating more pollution.
it is against the law to sell gas without an oxygenating agent in NJ

well that's ghey with a capitol "Q". around here the cheap stuff and mid grade have 10% ethanol at most gas stations and premium is generally ethanol free. i buy the cheap chit cause the cavalier gets the same mpg's with any of it.

Thats only 30 miles from me.. I didnt here they were gonna demo it. It is only 3yrs old, surely someother industry could utilize some of it.
