Know what i hate?? the transmission crossmember on a 77 F-150.... esspecially when it hasent been out..... ever that i know off... im about to break out the saw zall (well go buy a new one since the old one just bit the dust) and hack it outta there and worry about fabricating something when i put it back in.

build one like mine.
If you have a port-o-power or a bottle jack it makes moving the crossmember a little easier.

Pics in your build thread aint they??
The top 4 bolts on mine are rusted tight and were rounded off like someone had tried to take it out before, so i guess ill cut out above where it mounts to the radius arms and use that to fab something back or something another ill see once i get it out and get the tranny's swapped since all my spares are 2wd case's i know i need atleast a Deep pan because all the others are shallow and if i go with a different VB, ive got a spare linkage setup for the C6 for my shifter

WOOOOO Took first place tonight with a 7.1, second place was a 7.5 and third was a 9.5 the only truck that would of came close to my time was the 7.5 and she ran before my second pass so i could of scratched but said WTH... may aswell make it anyways, so i picked the rut that everyone was getting stuck in (4 of 4 that hit it stayed there at 193 feet) i hit it third gear, truck bogged a little but i pulled threw that rut with a 8.2... vids to come tomorrow..... errrr later today
