Hey Bud? Yer putting food on the table. Isn't that what working is all about. That's what I tell the One Who Must Be Obeyed when I go hunting and fishing.
Hey Firepower,
I love that picture! It's got everything - old cool truck, bird hunting, & a loyal dog - now if you had that girl from Transformers looking under your hood you'd be set!
Now that is how you make a first post with impact.
You missed something on your picture. You needed to have you gun in there too.
Welcome to FTE! We love pictures here, so you started off right.
How about you start a new thread and introduce your truck and dog. Beautiful!
Great pic!! welcome to the board!! Introduce yourself a bit, from the looks of it you'll fit injust fine around here.
jake08, that beautiful car wasn't very fast, I think he was running in the 18-20 second range. It didn't matter, he was having a blast and the car was gorgeous.
Firepower, I see the WI collector plate, where are you located?
New Berlin

Was this truck up on I-43, up around Sheboygan? If so, how long ago was that? I was told about an old F-7 being used as an oil collection barrel a few years back but haven't been able to find it the couple of times I was up in the area.
I'm fortunate in that I live on an island with a 40 mph speed limit. That helps as far as practicality in using old trucks. I have a business building cabinets and furniture from old wood. We use a bandsaw mill to cut old beams into boards. The old trucks work well moving everything around the property and since they all get shedded at night, our raw materials stay sorted and dry. Roofing a new shed tomorow. You know, for storing wood. About 1/2 of these I currently own. I apologize profusely about the gmc, but that one I bought in '76 and it's like family. Besides it has a cummins 6 cyl turbo diesel called a '6AT'. Built in '89 and extracted from a UPS truck about fifteen years ago. 220 cu in and 120 hp. All these trucks are working or I have worked them in the recent past.
