An F5 tow truck at the local Ford dealer. Still has the original printing on the doors, but I don't think it has been used for a while....

Hard to tell the make and model, but it's old. And the sign painting was done by my friend's grandfather back in the day.

I believe it to be a 1939/40 Chevrolet COE. But since it has a cool history, we'll accept it.

I'm always impressed with the craftsmanship found back then. I can't imagine what the cost would be for someone to hand paint and letter all that. Today, it'd just be a giant decal.

It would be a wrap! The company I work for has gone through a re-branding and decided to wrap all of the fleet vehicles in an awful shade of purple with the company's name on the sides. It looks hideous!!!

Recently, I was at a tow yard looking at a total loss when I came upon a guy who was lettering and pinstriping by hand a new tow truck. He did some awesome work. I took his business card in case I ever decide to get my 52 lettered. Talent and skill like his are hard to find.

Ouch, did he forget to unlock the gate or did the load dry in the bed and immobilize?
