Looks like he needed to do some brake work before he hooked that trailer full of rockingchairs to what was a nice truck with a sweet looking chrome grill to boot.

Now that the first scratch is out of the way, he probably wasn't too worried from that point on.

That fender will be very hard to repair because of where the damage occurred. He'll need to replace that fender.

If the metal is sound (it looks like it is) it could be pulled and metal worked. It's thick steel. But it may be cheaper/easier to replace.

Look at the lower valance, hardly touched. Not having a bumper apparently didn't matter, it looks like he hit the rear of a truck.

Welllll..... I met a real nice guy (a HAMB'er, it turns out) who has a shop in the SE part of town, who is one of those master metalworkers. He has about 10 flatmotors laying around, a 331 Hemi, and some Y-blocks. He wanted to sell off the newer flatties (prefers 59AB's). It is a standard bore '53 motor as far as I can tell, one very small inconsequential crack at a bolt hole, out of a car. Almost no ridge. I need to pull it completely apart, but it looks like a drop-in after a gasket job! Oh, and I got a great deal on a T5 from him...

PS -- you may have seen his car at the drags...

I had a fender in similar shape. I tried my hardest to fix that area. I even gave it to a professional body guy. Could never restore it back to it's original shape successfully because of the body lines, thick steel and small area to work in.

Anything can be repaired, but when do you throw in the towel...???
