And this is my favorite pic. Look closely in the background and you'll see a mid 60s Chevy being towed down the street while a daily driver Ford is fueling:
you can barely tell this has been photochopped.
I am being sarcastic

The whole picture was sarcastic. That's why it was funny, because it was such a "poor" job. For those who don't understand, look closer.

This one is my favorite! Great pics! In this one what is the truck in front of the Car Hauler? Looks like is say's Ford, but I've never seen a front end like that.

I have a couple more, but I need to scan them.
In the second pic, what is the truck in front of the Hauler? Looks like is says Ford, but it's an odd front end.

It's the first step to a Parcel or Bread Delivery vans. Ford would manufacture the frame, drivetrain and front body section and then ship it off to an independent builder that would build the rest of the body to their specifications and sell to the consumer.

Here's the finished product.

Mercury also made them.

a note about these parcel deliveries: a '53 style grille was used in '53 and '54. A '55 style grille as seen in the pic was used in '55 through the early 60's. I would have to check my book to be sure when they ended that grille type. Please noticed I say '55 style grille as they were not exact like what was used in the F-series. They were more narrow. I have heard of people buying a grille at a flea market only to find it was too narrow in width....
