its "Mrs.Crazy" again - what would I do without you all yelling at him for thinking about other kind of trucks. I think hes finally getting them out of his head, YAY! Besides once I can drive again, I plan on driving the new truck

Are you sure Tom will be ok with that?? During a decent snow last year my wife ran over a deer(not her fault), our neighbors mailbox and into my Mustang(in the driveway) all within a 1/4 mile of each other. I was hesitant to give her the keys to anything after that
lol, yes I'm sure he will give me the keys. We already had that discussion and he knows better then to play that game with this wifey :-) (besides he has total at least 1 possibly 2 cars in his driving career)

LMAO
Only car I ever totalled was the Dodge Shadow I hit with my old truck, so Mr. Crazy is well ahead of me in the traffic elimination Olympics.

My wife's were nowhere near as bad as yours (all under 15 mph), so I didn't have that "I'm just glad you're ok" feeling that Tom has right now lol. We have two driveways. One is flat and straight and the other is steep and curving. In 8 inches of snow and her in an Eclipse she decided to take the steep and curving one and slid into and all down the side of my Mustang....
Thats the plan. I hope he gets another Ford and I think he will but I do understand why he looked at all of the options. He is crazy but hes stuck with me so he better let me drive it
I think Tom is passed the loving hope your okay feeling, he just wants a new truck. To phillips91, I'm sry to hear about your cars but I'm glad your wife was okay. Stupid old snow! I grew up in Upstate NY and I HATE the snow with a passion
Tom get the 6.7! Matt was over at my house on Sunday (we worked on his AC) and we both said you need to get one then come back to Ohio for another day of towing.
And the a/c is fixed lol still gota get the damn blower though and i know tom will get a 6.7. Hes a smart guy and will haggle the crap outta the salesman. Plus he'll have mrs crazy by his side lmao I still cant believe the word "toyota" or "chebby" or even "dodge" entered your head tom.. Im disapointed..
I've been thinking to myself since your incident, what would I do if forced to truck shop today. Like you, I think it is too early to get into a 2011, because of the lack of incentives as well as the unknowns of a 1st year engine. One thing that I would consider is to wait it out. We are right at 1 year before the 2012's hit the lot, and probably 9-10 months before the best incentives arrive to clear the lots. So buy an old beater for $2k and resell it for about the same price in a year. Meanwhile, stick your insurance settlement in the bank and earn some interest.
Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of waiting that long. Not only do I need a truck, the insurance company will pay the sales tax of a new purchase up to the appraised value of my last truck, which was $38,000. This is over $2,000! I won't wait and lose that much money.

Haha, not quite. I was in one bad accident when I was 16, and that's about it. Besides, I destroyed my new Dodge Neon. She wrecked my F250!

Glad to hear you guys got it figured out! Honestly I REALLY REALLY want a new 6.7L truck. Not sure I can justify the ~$650/month payments with the new house purchase. I honestly don't know what I'm gonna do.
I'm thinking a good compromise may be an '11 6.2L gas truck. At this point I'm not sure.
