Congrats Tom, she's beautiful! I only wish that 50 large would get a fella a decent set of tires.
Haha, you're not kidding! Itty bitty 245/75R17 General highway all-season tires. They ride nice on the highway, but the minivan-like tread pattern wouldn't do much in mud.
Which is fine, I guess. When these wear out I'll look for something a bit more aggressive.

Is that right? 245 tires? Sounds like some other bail company tires. That would be my first upgrade.

I actually think your better off with a 17" tire, at least for price and availability of replacements. But your right tom, something more worthy of an 8000 lb truck would be better.

You may not have to wait that long...
If you have a Discount Tire around you somewhere and it's a tire they sell you could unload them, get a good credit since they're fairly new, and get something nice. (if funds allow ofcourse )

Yep, 245s. It's also castrated with the "optional" 10,000 lb GVWR package which makes no sense to me. It's got the F350 rear axle, springs, and axle weight ratings but NOT the 11,300 GVWR most F350s have.

Interesting... Looks like a lower RAWR as well, I thought the F350 SRW trucks all had 7k rear springs. Does it have the overload springs? Not sure if you ever haul real heavy in the bed, but without the rear overloads, air bags would be one of my first mods.

And those tires...
I did some research before I bought it, the 10,000 GVW package doesn't change anything with the springs, axles, brakes, or wheels. The only difference is the GVWR number printed on the door sticker.
All the 2011 F350 SRW trucks have a 6,290 lb rear axle rating; F250s have a 6,100 lb rating. The axle is rated at 7,280 and springs are rated at 3,133 lbs each, anthe tires and wheels are rated at 3,195 each. This is identical to all SRW F350s. I do have the overload springs.

So far I'm averaging over 19!!! Going to check the lie-o-meter when I need to fill up, but it appears that Ford delivered the goods on MPGs with this one.
