Afternoon guys! Well I just got back from hauling a '00 f250 7.3 psd to the junkyard after it burned to the ground from what I am assuming is the cruise control recall. He had not done it yet nor have I so this hit a little close to home. I will be getting the recall done soon. That was one toasty son of a gun! Burned up half the road ditch too when the grass caught on fire.
Jay thanks for the update on your mom.
Lee that story is great but now I have to wait a week for another one...great I will be patient. The stories we could tell about watching people back there camper or my favorite is watching people back there boat in the water. Sounds like we need a couple lawn chairs and a couple cold ones and the stories would fly!
Troy,
Did you fry your tranny or just preparing for the future. How are you getting it here? Is your truck out of commish?
To the rest of you thanks for the well wishes, life goes on and so do I, spring is in the air and I have a boat load of stuff to do on the truck to prepare for the towing season.
Hey Tom, no the tranny isn't fried completely but will be if I keep pulling the 5ver. The end of last summer I was having trouble gettting it into gear without putting it in manually. Whenever I would pull the 5ver it was fine once in gear but if I took it out and tryed to put it back in it would slip real bad. So I decided to do it right and get a BTS tranny.
Jay glad to hear that her kidneys at least look ok!
Lee that truck burned up at about 11:30 a.m. today. The fire trucks were just leaving when I got there. I was going to snap a pic but didnt yet. I will later today or tomorrow. It is pretty bad but nobody got hurt. The guy said he smelt smoke and started to pull over and the truck died. He got out and popped the hood and saw flames. It was all over after that.
Evening Troy and David. Frozen pizza tonight. The guy who had the fast diesel for sale decided he wanted more than what he would have sold it for this winter. It has been at our shop for the past few months. Shoulda bought it when the market was right. I was really getting the itch to buy it recently but my diesel fever has subsided now.
Yeah it sucked a little, but I do still have something quick to drive(and it is quicker). I was thinking I'd sell my car and have two diesels over selling the current diesel I have. I'm already getting over not buying that. Now I get to keep my car. Had it listed for a while. Take a look. All the engine and chassis mods have been done by me. Probably the most labor I have put into a single vehicle. 1985 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback
