Hey guys, ive been helping out with a couple of muscle cars but cant post them since you cant add attachments. One is a 67 malibu being stranformed into a chevelle, and the other is a 67 mustang.
Afternoon Jay & Steve and whoever else is around. Long time no see Steve, Troy is going to catch up in a year or two.
Jay, I assume the pans are wood on those seats, is that correct? I new a guy who used to do upolstry on the side, and he would pre drill his staple holes on real old pieces because of cracking.
If it is steel, you could always anneal it.
Actually my stock pan is plastic. The vinyl cover is stapled. The Corbin seat is fiberglass and the leather cover was riveted. Notice I said "was" because it is now off. I am going to call a few places on Monday to see about buying the foam.

That sounds like fun Terry. Put the photos into a Photobucket account and then post them.
Evening guys! Boy you guys have been busy this afternoon!
Steve nice to see you up and around again!
Terry you have to figure out a way to get pics up of those cars!
Jay good luck with the seat but I am sure you will get it figured out. Did you talk to the bossman?
Lee I looked everywhere but no luck on the big beavers on this trip!
Well we went and checked out that truck and it is in much better condition then the last truck we looked at. It had 221,000 miles on but ran real good and had a new tranny in it. The biggest thing wrong with it is the box sides are pretty beat up. It was owned by a construction company. They would have to be repainted but there is no rust. So he isnt sure yet he had to talk it over with the boss(wifey) first. I said mechanically it seemed like it was a good truck!
Well Troy, actually found one that you do not have to run away from.
Jay, I don't see how fiberglass is that brittle, unless it is old or been in sun a lot. You could heat up the pan a little first if needed, would make the plastic or fiberglass less brittle.
Just got back from having ribs. If anyone is ever in the Buffalo area on Sat evenings there is a little bar on the lake that has really good ribs, and the best thing is they are 6.95 for a full rack with fryies on Sat after 5pm.
Hey Lee that is a dang good price on those ribs. You always tend to find the good deals at those out of they way places like that. If I am down that way sometime we might have stop in there for some ribs..mmmmmmm
