Why would he tell you about it William. LOL

And Autozone has the delete pulley. It's amazing what you can find when you know what to ask for. LOL

I agree Sam. Hayden is my little champ. His two brothers backed out once their hands got dirty, and decided they didn't want to help.

I'll take the blower motor! =)
Mines loosing its spunk on the lower settings.

Nothing like a pair of little hands to help out sometimes.
You get older and find you don't twist and contort as you did as a little one.

Gotta love it when the kids help out. I'd get a lot less done without my oldest. Hayden looks like he knows what he's doing. Travis on the other hand......
Just a quick ???. What's the tranny blanket for? Keep the pics coming! Starting to look like something now.

The tranny blanket is suppose to keep the tranny parts from flying all over the place should it come apart. In the area of motorsports there are all kinds of safety devices you need on your car or truck. Tranny blankets, a cage to contain the driveshaft should it come apart. Specific places to put your fuel tank, batteries, etc. With tractor/truck pulling you have a kill switch hooked to the sled that will shut the truck or tractor off should something break from the hitch, and I believe the guy riding the sled can shut you down if he feels you are out of control. It's always fun until somebody gets hurt. Pretty much every safety device that they have come up with is the result of a part failure and someone getting hurt or killed.

thanks buddy. haha. in this case cody only has to have a BELL HOUSING blanket, not a full tranny blanket. this is to keep pieces of clutch from coming through the floor in the event of a clutch failure resulting in the clutch literally exploding in a bunch of fragments. look up exploding clutch on youtube and see what you can find. its crazy what a clutch will do when it explodes at high rpms.

safety first, just sucks sometimes b/c in sled pulling there are so many dang safety rules its not even funny. these guys are going to spend a ton of money on safetly equipment while i'm still spending money on going fast instead of safety gear. about all i will need to have is one driveshaft loop, a helmet, and maybe a cage someday if i was to convert to automatic. in pulling you need fuel and air shut offs, full driveshaft loops, blankets, firesuit/helmet, etc...

Many years ago a friend of mine was driving a garbage truck and the clutch came apart and came through the firewall destroying the throttle, clutch and brake linkage. He was going down a hill with a stoplight at the bottom of it. No brakes, and a loaded truck. He put the truck into the guard rail to stop it and kept from hitting the cars at the light. Since he did this on purpose, they fired him. If he had hit the cars at the light, possibly killed someone, that would have been OK. They would not have fired him for that. Go figure,,,,

Yep, my brother had a clutch come apart on a 66 mustang 4 speed. The clutch blew the whole bell housing to nothing, and the clutch sent pcs through the hood. Luckily cause of the angle of hte floor boards, it just deflected everything though the hood. All that was holding the front of the trans up was the pilot bearing. When I built my 332 motor for my 66 mustang, he would not let me run it till i put a scattershield in it. (blow proof bell housing). Thing is dang heavy! At least i dont have to worry about loosing a foot.
