You know you drive an Excursion when you read countless posts on FTE about gas vs. diesel.

There, happy now?

Does that one work too?

Seriously, it wasn't a versus thing, just the facts for ME. Others may see if different. Matter of fact I'm building a diesel truck right now because no matter how you slice it, diesel trucks are just plain cool. In my case I have a 1980 Jeep truck that I'm putting a cummins 4BT into. OLD diesel trucks are WAY cool.

YES THEY ARE!!!!! Kind of like the muscle car days of the 60's. Oh, you weren't there? Sorry you missed it.

You know drive an Excursion when you are the biggest, baddest, most powerful family car on the road!!

Too young to drive but I didn't miss it. My favorite thing was my dads '68 396 SS Camaro. Woosh....!

there for a second i thought i was going to have to delete my subscription to this thread because it was going to turn in to a wiener measuring thread about gas vs diesel. i hate those, and refuse to comment or read them.

Wow, some good ones, "when you notice how dirty the other cars roofs are!!"
When I could load my 27' Ragen with so much crap, AND 100 gal of water AND 36 gal of Fuel and the quads/bike/cooler,,,, and toodle up the grapevine at your choice of speeds! (until you blow a CAC boot off the turbo!!)

You pass every prius, blowing black smoke, just because you have to

When you have to change the starter at your BILaw's and he says "we can take it to the shop and put it on the lift" and you ask why

When you are going on vacation and people go "your driving that? how can you pay for the gas, and I say well I avg. 18-21 on the highway and watch their jaws drop!

When you can pull out your 99 SD/7.3/CC/4x4 with a FULL load of wet oak stuck in the mud off-camber, AND the SD is in Nuetral with your wife steering it!!!

Well, till I think of more, HAppy New Year All you sicko Ex owners!!

I was just kidding but I agree. I think the bulk of those posters have an ego or maturity problem..........or both.

Those threads would be a lot more fun if some of the peeps (on both sides of the fence) were willing to drive the thread down Humor Lane and have fun with it, ribbing each other instead of being so serious.

I agree again, it's not going to affect the quality of anyones life if they can't pull quite as much up a hill, spend a little more on parts, or listen to a clackety clack. I wouldn't complain if I woke up and my gasser was a diesel................must be more important things to dwell on out there.
