Good test, yeah, can't get any better apple to apple test then that.
Despite the difference in F-250/F-350, gearing and SRW vs DRW the trucks in the test have very similar GCWR ratings. The diesel actually has a higher GCWR rating due to the extra weight of the PSD. I understand the PSD truck in the test configuration is carrying around 300lbs more vs a PSD in a SRW f-250 but that shouldn't really matter with the high torque output of the PSD.

If you give the PSD and the V10 the same gears (4.30s) then the GCWRs are way off. Well over 3k lbs in favor of the PSD. So yes GCWR to GCWR the test vehicles are extremely close.

Why they dont do the comparisons like single rear axle with lowest ratio, or highest ratio (point is being the same body style, with the highest or lowest factory optioned ratio) makes the test laughable.

Compare the 3.73's in a SRW diesel, to the 4:10 in the SRW v10. Or go the other way, compare the the 4:30 to the 4:30 (lowest gear ratio offered by both trucks from stock)

will even offer to put u up in our second master bedroom if it's too much of a drive

I have a 5 x 20 trailer we can load up and test that too

This truck ran on that track a few years ago.... haven't been back since, but would be willing just to see if we can get some more sofa racing fear talk going
Thanks for steping up for your brothern 6.0 guys.

Johnny, you live is SE Texas, I live in SW Louisiana about 35 miles from the Texas border. It would be fun to get together for some test with our trucks. What do you say?

GCWR don't mean nothing to my truck. I load it and go, this is the real world. Also, gearing means way more then GCWR for towing. Those numbers are on paper, my truck is on the road.

It will if the DOT ever pulls you over and puts you on a scale. GVWR, front and rear GAWRs, and the GCWR are all very important to those guys.

You wanted an even test. A configuration with almost identical GCWRs is as fair as can be.

I can see you would never be satisfied with any test or comparison no matter how fair or scientific it is.

Yeah but there just numbers on paper, they don't matter anyway.

All you have to do is put a tuner on your V10 and you would both have the same mods.

I think I see some backing up here. lol. We are talking about engines and pulling. Nothing scientific about it. Heck, my truck comes with 250 HP from the factory.
