Putting that much boost into a stock gas engine will melt down the pistons and spew oil out every orifice that is connected to the oil sump chamber. I thought this would be obvious but apparently it is not.
A centrifugal supercharger enhances power mostly at high engine speeds. That's fine for a drag racer with a loose torque converter but not very suitable for a working truck. I'd focus on a turbocharger or positive displacement supercharger for a truck application. A turbocharged V10 would be a monster and fairly inexpensive if you fabbed up your own exhaust. Again, you would really have to be careful if you wanted to tow under boost.
Heres a link to prove your numbers are way off. A bolt on supercharger kit was never made for the V10 that put out more than 9 pounds of boost. Of course all the bolt on kits were also for the 2V only, the 3V would put out more power.
Probably because 50% of this thread is filled with people pretending they're not interested yet filling the pages with the same comment that they want a beer over... and over... and over... and over... and over again.

Your right my numbers are way off! That kit is almost $7K!!!!
I was looking at the spec sheet that listed max boost at 22 for the heavy duty unit.
You know I was just thinking about that $7k supercharger. If take and add that to a brand new V10 and compare it to a 6.4 with an exhaust and tuner I dont think it would even be a close contest on a dyno. Aren't the 6.4s getting close to 500hp with just a tune and exhaust in some cases?
The cost of the the mods to the V10 and the 6.4 would be about equal when you add the cost of the 6.4 option to a new pickup.
So using that logic, why not pull the turbo off the diesel, and pull 2 spark plugs out of the V10? And no, I don't mean just run a 5.4, I mean run the 6.8 with 8 spark plugs.
And no one has proven that
nor taken me up on my offer to prove that
nor even DEFINED "better"
and lastly at what ?
(u can't be all wrong though !!!! I sold my restored 'Datsun' 280zx 2+2 turbo a few years back to my mail man !!!! he said he had seen it each day in the back by the pool and always wanted it FUN little car !!!)
(he wanted a package deal with the wife too, but not a fair price - I didn't have enough cash!)
