Somethin don't sound right with your 7.3 Pete. You should be getting better boost than that. I got decent boost, even before the DP.

Ok goodnight. lol. See ya's on the flipside.
He hasn't run it on the road. Just doing burnouts in the gravel.

That is where it was, but I've had it since then. It's somewhere in either my 7.3 or Pinkie hopefully.

I'm hoping the gauge is screwy rather than the truck being screwy. Note: My truck doesn't see more than 500 feet of road at a time. It's currently unregistered and uninsured. That's gonna change end of July/very early August.

What Jim said. This truck doesn't have the power to spin the tires on asphalt. And I sure as heck wouldn't want to try to spin the tires on those po-dunk roads. I'm sure Jim would agree with me on that one.

Don't worry about the guage to much now. Once you get it on the road I'm sure that it will be ok.

You darn right there that road is a kidney buster for certain.

That's right you up loaded some pics since then.

Yea. Hopefully the current mayor will get re-elected then repave that stinkin road. It's a complete piece of junk. We need to take down some trees along the road though. 2 times in the past 3 weeks we've had trees come down on the lines. One was large enough to knock them down the other just leaned on them and screwed em up. Every time they're out they leave tools behind. If I buy one of their trucks used I could start my own electric company soon. They will have provided all the tools.

They can't be making any $ providing us with electric service at this point. They've got to lose a month's profits every time they send out a crew and they've sent crews out 2x in the past month. And the lines end at us. There's wire, wire, wire, wire, us, nothing.

When they leave their tools behind the company just buys them new ones. Maybe the'll leave a bucket truck behind someday.

One mechanic who used to work for dad back in the day is now the head of the service department I guess you'd call it for a company called MJ Electric.

He does oil changes on the bucket trucks while they're still on the side of the road being used. His company chases storms and puts the lines back up.

He was working double shifts in Louisiana after Katrina and was again working like a madman in New Hampshire a while back when they had a terrible ice storm.

His favorite saying is "It's so easy a lineman could do it."

Edit: Dang Dolly Parton just came on GAC again! She needs to go away!
Watch this and try to honestly tell me it's not disturbing:
Warning: Not for children. Disturbing images.

Yea, but they also work crap hours in crap conditions. Plus they get crazies sometimes.

My dad's friend was working on one of the trucks while a guy was in the bucket running it off aux. power and a dude came out with a shotgun and told them if they didn't have power to his house that day he was gonna shoot them all. They then went for lunch and had a police officer there with them at all times after that. That was when they were up in NH.

Yea. Definitely.

And now I'm off to bed.

Jim please tell J-L I said hi.

Tomorrow is our "career day" of sorts. I signed up for one on firefighting which is being "taught" so to speak by my buddy's dad. Hopefully. He was in the ER today because he sliced his hand open, but is home now. Then I signed up for "entrepreneurship" aka: going to a used car lot.

And for the record I finally finished my Romeo and Juliet crap!
