Hey Pete! I'm doing pretty good today. How's things with you?
Pretty good. Got my Stancor in and working. Either my truck doesn't make much boost at all or my boost gauge is screwy.
I finished installing the Stancor and put in a fuse on the gauge power wire. I decided to spin the tires on the gravel before I put the truck away. I could hear the turbo spool, but I couldn't see the boost gauge move at all. My EGTs spiked up pretty good. Maybe 800 or 900 degrees.
Got some tire shine (new sig quote to go with it) and got the rest of my engine bay shined up as best I could.

You won't build boost until the engine has a load on it. How long did it take you to clean the engine?

A couple hours. It's still not quite as clean as it could be.
I still have to clean the spider and do a foil delete. Then I've got to find where the heck all the AIH wires go so I can rip em out.
I'd post up pics of my shiny clean engine bay, but I can't seem to locate my camera.
Edit: I guess that's one difference between the VGT on the 6.0 and the turbo on my 7.3
The 6.0's stock boost gauge reads 10 pounds or so from regular acceleration when empty. When I'm accelerating to
highway speed it gets up over 15 pounds.

Wasn't the camera in Pinky?? I thought that you put it in there when we left.

My 7.3 will pull 10-15 lbs on the highway and around town no problem, sometimes over 20 if I am on it hard.
Somethin don't sound right with your 7.3 Pete. You should be getting better boost than that. I got decent boost, even before the DP.
