I asked the optometrist about that and she got all mad and said I couldn't get contacts I could leave in until I'm 18.
Plus contacts in science labs are a no-go and contacts while welding are a no-go.
And if you get a drop of sweat in your eye and you rub your eye your contacts get all screwed up.
They're nice for the peripheral vision, but that's about their only benefit as far as I'm concerned.
Plus for the year I wore contacts everyone said I looked weird without glasses.
Plus if you don't know an answer in class you can pretend to be busy cleaning you glasses and they won't pick you.
Mine are not the ones your supposed to leave in but I do. I dont have to worry about the science labs, but welding is what I do for a living and they stay in. I have been flash burned and havent had any problems, yet. I guess when I do it will be to late. They just dont last as long wearing them the way I do.
I really like them for water sports. It's much nicer to be able to see where you are going on the tube and things. After you wear them for so long people will say you look funny with glasses.
My disclaimer....I have been accused of alot of things in my life but being smart was never one of them, so pay no attention to all the things that are wrong with the above statement on how I where my contacts.

Thats funny.
Jake the roaring could be a bearing. Is there much slack in it? I know there are numerous articles online on gear installs and things. I need to get out the door right now or I'd do alittle searching for you. Sorry Bro.
Alrighty folks I'm off to work.
i made it safe & sound to Mom's place in Maryland on Monday at 11:30AM local time. I'm no good at driving at night, but have no problem getting up at 4AM to drive all day...
My family is holding up well. My brother is a wreck but he's just not put together for something like this... my Dad is getting moved to a facility today (time unknown yet) and I have to arrange for them to wait for a few minutes outside so that I can bring Logan up & help my Dad pet him one more time.
It's been chillier here than I expected from the weather reports, but I'm really enjoying being back here. There's WATER here!! LOL
There's much to do today and I won't be around too much, but I'll check in when i can. Hope everyone is having a great day!

.
I thought about getting contacs just for welding.I hate it when I'm welding and a drop of sweat falls on my glasses. Now I can't see have to stop and clean glasses then put my hood bak on and before I can strike anothe arc another drop falls on my glasses and on and on
I just turned 30. I dont know Joe, my entire family is the same way...We are the ones you hate at the gym....still got my six pack too....
That workout sounds really intense, good for you man! Stick with it and you'll be ripped in no time at all.
Brent, take a look at what you do for a living. I bet if you got a sedentary job, that 6 pack would go away and replace itself with a keg.

My wireless router stopped working again today. Urrgghhh!
So I get on Randy's PC to check my email and check FTE...go to type in my user name and a different username pops up along with mine. I think I may have a spy!
I'm not sure what he thinks he is going to learn. I am 100% honest with him about FTE and all of you guys. I even talked with him about Mark, and what Brendan is going through.
So I have my laptop wired in now, but the cable I have doesn't quite reach where I usually hang out online
Wow Lisa, thats funny. No big deal, I'm sure he was wondering what this is all about.
I pray Julie never checks up on me but then again, I'm pretty sure by now she knows what I am like.....lol. No big deal....
Last night our Lynksys router was getting weak, but then I just set up an office in the front of the house for Jules. I googled how to make your WiFi more powerful, and the next thing I know I am cutting out and glue sticking aluminum foil to paper to make an antennae extender.....Guess what? it actually works!!!! She's 100% signal strength now!
I missed all the topic from the weekend. Did Brendans dad take a turn for the worse?
Unlike Cris to not be here for so long.
Jay I guess I'll answer this question: Brendan's dad is...he's there but he's not really there anymore. If that makes sense.

I'm not worried about my spy, I just think its funny. I wish he'd get his butt on here and participate.
I took my laptop and placed it right next to the router..still no signal. I've tried restarting it and everything. Pooey. Whatever. I don't have the energy to troubleshoot.
The aluminum foil trick sounds neat though. We used to hang foil off our old antennae television when I was a kid. It worked.
I realize this is lame and Joe will probably fall over laughin at me for trying it but it did work, you could watch the signal strength go up and down as I moved it....Who'd of thought?
