I'm feeling pretty good Brent a bit sore especially with all of the moving around that I am doing the past few days. It is so good to have J-L back with me. It is going to be a long fight to keep her but well worth it in the end.

my brother got home at 6:30...has his ex-wifes tahoe...brakes are out...quick inspection, right rear big puddle brake fluid.

pull the wheel and wheel cylingder is leaking, call Napa, got 2 in stock...he removed it while I ran over for parts...I got back, he replaced the wheel cylinder, helped him bleed it .

Test drive all good, gotta find the new shoes somewhere in the garage and replace the shoes and the other wheel cylinder on sunday...good reason to hook up the compressor!

Edit...Napa closes at 7...I had about 3 minutes to spare, Good thing we called first! $30 for both.

I actually really like the local napa store. There is a older fella there that i always deal with, and he actually knows his stuff.

The prices cant be beat (for the most part!) and dealing with this older fella, sure makes me happy to keep going back, even sometimes if there is a problem with their parts.

 

well...both my brothers and I are mechanics...so we can get jobber prices nearly anywhere...

List price was $25.40 each on the wheel cylinders

 

My local store doesnt like the fact that I know what I want(part # wise) before I go in there for some reason...I figure it saves them time. Dont go in there much anymore!

usually I just walk in and pick parts up at willcall...saves time and frustraion...
