I'm back in here. Had an 8am meeting, now my 9:30 was pushed back to 10:30. Then I have an eye exam after lunch, so I'll be out for the rest of the day after that.
Need to get my pull-up bar installed, and get ready to start that P90X program this afternoon. I have high expectations for this program. It's intense -- 6-7 days a week! But hopefully, I'll get my butt back in shape (yeah, I know -- round is a shape... ). I skimmed through the modules I'm doing today (Chest/Back, & Ab-Ripper X). The Ab-Ripper X is SCARY!! It's only about a 15 minute module, but it's done after the other one which is 60 mins. I see myself petering out quickly on that one. My abs have always been my weak point, but I'm going after them this time... I'm looking to turn my keg into a 6-pack. Actually, the instructor, Tony Horton calls it an "8-pack". That's how ripped you're supposed to get. I'm not expecting to be like that, but I do expect a little more definition there.
J-L just saw the cricket ans said "Ewwww" She dosen't like bugs.
LOL!
I am scared of millipedes / centipedes. Uhghhhh...too many legs!

Joe you sound motivated. As well all know that is the hardest part of starting a workout plan.
Joe is Tony Horton related to Tim Horton the donut guy??
Who the heck is Tim Horton? Never heard of him. Down here in the South we have Kripy Kremes, and the rest pale in comparison.... LMAO!! But I'm putting the fat pills behind me -- during this 90 days, it's low-fat, good carbs, & high protein. Donuts don't fit in there, unfortunately. I could probably eat a dozen Krispy Kremes myself...

I am motivated, Lisa. I wanted to start this sooner, but had too much other stuff going on, then I tweaked my back. I'm WAAY heavier than I should be. A few years ago, I got myself down to 205 lbs. That's just a few pounds heavier than I was when I got off active duty (190-195), and all I did was workout when I was overseas, so I was pretty happy about that. But lately I've gotten lazy, and sloppy with my eating, so I got up over 250. I was about 240 or maybe even 238 when I left Iraq because I was hitting the gym hard 3-4 times a week. This is a good program because I can pack my resistance bands in my carry-on suit case and do the workouts in the hotel room when I travel. It's a perfect solution for me. And I have the videos & workout schedule/progress tracker on my external hard drive. The schedule/tracker is in Excel, so it's quite handy and easy to use. There are actually three different programs set up with the videos. One is the "Classic", the other is "Lean" and the third is VERY intese called "Doubles". I'm doing P90X Classic first, then will try Lean, and maybe if I'm still alive , I'll try Doubles. That one is working out twice a day three days a week, and once on the other days. VERY tough program. The hard part about all of these is the time commitment. I'm starting this afternoon, and will try the late afternoon, early evening workouts first, even though I much prefer working out in the morning. That won't happen until I get my spare room set up for it. And that has to wait until my In-Laws visit is over in a couple weeks. They're getting here next week, so I can't gut our spare room just yet, as much as I want to. LMAO!!

I understand. Seems like there is always something in the way of doing what you need to do.
I have been on a 1,100 - 1,200 cal diet for the past month or so. I have been eating whole grain carbs...all the things I am supposed to. I'm not a total **** about it...I've been eating some bad things now and again...I've been working out 4-5 times a week...usually at a 500 calorie deficit each time I work out...and I've barely lost any weight. I can't figure out whats going on. I must be doing something wrong.
I've gone low carb before and lost a lot of weight that way.
