I'm tired! I feel like I am missing all the fun in here.
I will say that a lot of the conversation for me the past few days has revolved around my truck. We're having our meetings in a conference room at a hotel here. One of the new agents saw my truck one day, and it was over from there.
They all want to know what it is, how high the lift is, if I take it 4wheeling, and #1 asked question is why a lil girl needs a truck that big. I hate that question. Took two guys back to the hotel from the restaurant last night and they were trying to talk me into taking my truck offroad.
ANYWAY, I hope all of you are having a good week. I must have missed, Jim, how did the big day go? I missed that and I'm REALLY curious.
No. I called you older than 16. Didn't think that was offensive.
I was just giving you a hard time.

I wasn't asking for how much change was due, as much as I was asking how to count it back. Pete had the right answer earlier. Anyway, congrats on becoming a productive tax paying citizen. Now don't forget to start a savings account and just throw $5 or $10 a week in there to cover unexpected costs in the future.

Make this a lifestyle and stay away from debt.
I'm going through a seminar right now that is being taught by Dave Ramsey.
I can thankfully say that I'm doing most things right, but there are also some things that I wish I had done differently.
But in a nutshell, if you never borrow, it will have the same effect on your bottom line as making at least 20% more money than the next guy with a wallet full of credit cards.
The borrower is slave to the lender. Slave. Who wants to be a slave?
You still not done with those cabinets?! Uppers and lowers or just one or the other?!
I'm done with 75% lowers, and about 80% uppers...lol This kitchen/bath/laundry room is big. Loving it!! I really enjoy high end finish work. It's kinda relaxing if you have the tools and time.

Just wondering. Regardless, I think you made a great decision to take up the jobs you have now. They'll carry you through and help you build your client base.
I didnt see any allowances anywhere, they just told us to stockpile what we would need before hand...Thanks for the compliment by the way, like Jim said, lessons learned the hard way...lol

That guy is awesome! Im 222 nad my parents taught me about eraning and saving money since I was about old enough to walk.
You're absolutely right, Dan. We're finally moving towards that debt-free arena as well. Once the state of Alabama sends my refund check, my Excursion will be completely paid off and the payment we've been making for it will be snowballed into the payment to get my truck in the same position. Once we have that done, Lord willing, we'll snowball BOTH payments into the mortgage.... takes a lot of discipline, but it definitely pays off!
