That is good news Pete. Especially when my lawyer tells her that she lied and filed a false police report.
John I almost can't wait to see the judges face when she read the police reports from FL. There were some things in there that were so bizzare that if someone had tld me i would hav sworn that they wer making it up.

If she's anything like my ex, it'll strongly resemble something of a cross between Jerry Springer and Maury Povich while at the same time giving Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy new material for their tours.
Okay, this one's for Dan. (and anyone else that reads) I was working for a lady the last few days, and sitting in her driveway is an 86' diesel Jetta GL. Nothing fancy, but a cool car. I asked her to move it for me, and she says, "I wish I could, it doesnt run." hmmmm...my gears start turning while I'm building her deck.... "Why not?" "no idea, it hasnt run for at least 4 years, since dad passed on." hmmm.... now they are really getting turning... "well, what are going to do with it?" sell it for scrap she tells me... NO NO NO NO I said...Keep in mind it's in perfect condition. Dad bought it brand new, and it only has 120k on it...This car looks great, and I would think would fetch a few thousand to someone around here. Well, after chatting with her a lot the last few days, as well as I trip to my house to meet my dog kelly, (she's a dog lover) she tells me if I haul it off within 24hrs, it's mine for $500. SOLD!!!!!! I rented a flat deck trailer, went and got it this morning, and towed it to my shop. Checked all the fluids, changed the oil, coolant, t-stat, checked the tires and brakes, fuses, and battery. (thats the short list) drained out all the old diesel, which looked really good still, and filled her up with fresh fuel. Okay, here goes..... turn the key and Vroom!!!! click click click...just like it should sound. Perfect, smooth, actually glass smooth idle!!!! I was so stoked, couldnt believe it could be so easy. I took it for a 45 minute drive tonight, and it just purred. Very cool car. Now, here's the best part. My brother is in need of a car badly, and I couldnt think of a better gift than to give it to him for what I paid. He is in seventh heaven right now, he's so excited. So, I had a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's the pics- I hate the color, but who cares for $500. Sorry they arent better, my brother was very excited and could care less about the pics...LMAO!!!!

On that note I'm going to call it a night. Maybe I'll be able to sleep more than 3-4 hours tonight.
Good Night All Thanks for the conversation and the company!
Brent, that's a fantastic find and an even better story. Kudos to you on helping your brother out. That's a great car and with that mileage, it's just getting broken in. Those old VW diesels were great engines and you could run them forever while getting huge MPGs out of them. Buddy of mine had one and put almost 500,000 on it.
Yep. That's great. Sometimes you just happen up on stuff like that and it's always nice when it works out like it did for you. BTW- nice SD pulling that trailer.
