Hey Mark, Pete, & Brad
Yup nice quiet night. J-L and I had to go to my mothers boat and do a little work. Well I worked and she and grandama played. We came home had dinner and lit a fire in the fire pit outside. Cooked up some marshmellos. We took a few pics, my fire pit is 36X18 round well casing that we buried in the ground.
I also had a long conversation with Dan today and I have to say that he is quite the gentleman and I really appreciated our conversation and the time that he took to talk to me today.
Yea. I'm happy to finally hear that snow blower run. It's a 26" Husqvarna with a 9hp Tecumseh Snow King engine.
Tomorrow is the CT Chapter GTG at the truck museum. Then Monday dad and Steve (my brother) are supposed to get to work on wiring the old 656D that's sitting in the shop.
I'm pushing dad to get the shop cleaned up a bit so we could actually fit trucks in both bays.
Right now it's doubtful if I could get my SD into the shop and be able to shut the door behind it.
A huge week John. I have court on Tues for custody of my daughter. Then Fri back to court for a "criminal" charge that her mother accused me of that even the judge that they called that night refused to issue a restraining order. Then she wrote J-L a note saying that she was sorry that she lied to the police to get me in trouble. I will be showing the judge that note on Friday.
Some people just don't get it. We went to look at a job just down the street from the house. The original person who contacted us owns the hydraulic shop we use and she and her husband just wanted their back woods cleaned up a bit. Take out any underbrush and stumps. No biggie. We figured we'd do it as a favor to her since it'd be maybe a day on the dozer.
She says her neighbor wanted some work done too. Great that's more work without having to transport another machine.
So we're talking with the neighbor as to what she wants done and she says "Oh would you just bring a backhoe and clean it all up?"
They had been using their back woods as a dump. There was a ton of old wood crap and what appeared to be an old dining room table. And there were a couple good dead trees that could become widowmakers pretty quick.
There are 3 I'm really worried about.
1: Fell halfway over and broke the stump off. Is fully supported by other trees.
2: Fell part-way and is leaning into another tree but is still on the stump. Appears to be around 65 feet tall.
3: Dead and intact. Dead straight with no branches except near the top where the branches are intertwined with the ones the tree next to it has.
Quoted that job as $800. Those trees should be a bit easier if we've got cable, ****** blocks, and a dozer on site. Of course a chainsaw as well.

Jim, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

Been there, done that. Keep your chin up...it'll all be fine. Keep your composure (as hard as that may be) and let her be the one to dig her own grave. Same type of thing happened with my ex about 12 years ago. The Judge saw right through it and I ended up with full custody. I'll be thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed. As hard as it may be, stay positive and don't get down about it. I've been through the entire process. After it's over, you breathe a little easier, your blood pressure will drop back down to a normal level, and you and your little one will have one less thing to worry about. Hang in there buddy.

This will be an easy decision for the judge.
I thought that you knew that one.
She came over here and started and went bonkers. J-L was with her srepbrother playingh mini golf. Long story short she went to the police station and told them them that i punched her in the arm so hard that it was numb. Well there was no red mark or brusing. The cop told me that in MA you are to be arrested right away with no questions asked. After talking to her and then me. And no "marks" on her he didn;t arrest me. She wanted a restraining order and they had to call the judge the judge said no way. Now the on call judge si the same one that is hearing the custody case on Tuesday. By Law I get summosed to court on an A&B charge. That is Friday, SHe came by and admitted to J-L that she lied and even wrote her a note apologizing for it!!! She was told by the police that she is not to come by the house at all!
