Tristan, While I understand your side you yourself said you would not take it into a true bar. That is exactly what this law allows. I agree that criminals will bring their gun regardless but "I" don't think that adding to the mix is a good idea. We may have to agree to disagree. lol

I am a huge proponent of legal gun carry...and I agree with this statement.

Deadly weapons and alcohol do not mix. I think a concealed weapon should be allowed in a bar, but only if the person is not drinking.

Ill have to re-read that article. I thought it said they weren't allowed to drink...

Only reason I wouldn't take it into a "true bar" is because or the close quarters, at least in bars here you would be bumping people with your gun left and right. Way too many close to your weapon.

As far as I know, in VA cops can carry concealed in a restaurant or bar. I know my fair share of cops around town and thats more horrific than a criminal being allowed to do it. Im almost positive none of them DO carry but it just makes no sense to me.

I dont care either way, I guess my gripe is more or less with the legislators. I dont put myself into situations that would kill me on a regular basis, but would like to opportunity to defend myself when/if the time came.

Please don't anybody misunderstand my statement. I have no problem with conceal & carry.

Tristan, don't make me make you pistol whip me at RR East.

Maybe I did not read far enough into it. If it says that then we are back to a non-issue in my book.

Yea, I would hope the legislators werent stupid enough to let them drink! lol

Pistol whip?! No way! Like I said my gripe is with the legislators!

EDIT

The no drinking thing is probably why VA lawmakers were requiring that we tell someone there that we have a weapon to make sure we werent given any alcohol!

Plenty of room over here, at least WI voters aren't "star struck" when the ticket comes out. We (they) just keep voting in the same people over and over and .......

All right, enough politics, sorry everyone.

So Jay, how's everthing going besides it being a slow day at work?
