If it were me in your shoes Jake, i would probably try to tackle the frame myself too. Theres lots of rhino like products out there that would be SIMILAR (not quite as good but close) that you could apply yourself and save some cash.
Least Im not aware if rhino liner makes a kit you can do yourself, I know for the linex then dont.
They still make "vibrations" that plug into the wall?
Was at a friends house when I was a kid, and we were snooping around in her mom's room and found one of those. It looked medieval. I thought to myself it must be some type of torture device. I wasn't too far off. haha. medievaltorture device. thats a pretty funny description .
Sometimes I hear a clunk, but I park on a driveway with a bit of an incline, so I have chalked it up to that. I discussed this with Dan a bit, and he came up with a driveshaft that is out of alignment, possibly caused by a frozen joint. I can do them myself, only problem is finding a day when it isn't raining, or there isn't some event planned.
How do I check for a bad trans mount?
i pulled my rear shaft saturday in a torrential downpour.
i check motor and trans mounts with a floor jack. if the motor or trans moves off the mount without any resistance, it is new mount time.
Weeeell I may have found me a truck. 1985 f-250 XL 4-speed manual the only thing slowing me down is m dad but he sounds interested. so hopefyully all goes to plan.
that looks like a good deal.
the only thing that turns me off is the body lift.
yeah, the colors could be better id prefer green and yellow. lol
You know Jake, the second you paint your car/truck like a john deere, you become a whole new breed of redneck.

What about a clear coat, for winter protection? I battled that salt by washing the truck about every week last winter.

Tom, it's amazing what necessity will do to a person. I haven't reached that point, there will be no torrential downpours for me. Thanks for the tip. Any new news on blue?

Yeah I'm not sure if I'd take it off and put a suspension lift on or just keep it that way for the time being.

Lol I might just paint it all red Id rather have it one solid color, unless I go Green and Yellow.

I'd rather spend the money up front and rhino line the frame right away since once winter hits all my money will be going towards fuel.
I will try to sum it up, but there will be details I am missing
Estimated cost for project 2950.00 not including repairs to anything damaged during the process.
Total Insurance will pay 900.00 ( 1400.00 minus copay )for cement and pipe repair.. Basement is poured and I have all of our stuff back in the room, so we are functional. And in debt..

Yeah I would think clearcoat would work great too! I always tell myself im gonna wash my truck all the time in the winter, but I always seem to get to busy, or forget about doing it.

Yeah man I dont blame ya, doing the lining yourself is a huge project.
Id also keep the body lift. I know a suspension lift is ideal, but whatever, its already on there.
