Tom, it's amazing what necessity will do to a person. I haven't reached that point, there will be no torrential downpours for me. Thanks for the tip. Any new news on blue?
flange will be in this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
the driveshaft tube got a new rear yoke welded on last night, and is geting trued and balanced today. end result is gonna be somewheres in the $375 area.
Jake that's a nice lookin old truck, and honestly I really like the red and white. I think its neat when things are kept original.

Estimated cost for project 2950.00 not including repairs to anything damaged during the process.
Total Insurance will pay 900.00 ( 1400.00 minus copay )for cement and pipe repair.. Basement is poured and I have all of our stuff back in the room, so we are functional. And in debt..
Not done fighting this battle yet..
Sorry to hear Pat, but at least its getting fixed. I have faith that it'll all work out.

Morning everyone
Mine is over 10 years old now and starting to show signs of rust here and there, so I'm extra paranoid about it..especially since moving to Iowa, on the outer edge of the salt belt.
Wonder what type of can-spray clear coats there are out there...hmmm

She'll be a bit groggy and sleep a lot, but she'll be back to her old self in no time. Its amazing how fast dogs can recover.

That ain't too bad, really...considering how expensive things can get on these trucks.

Yeah I know what ya mean. Im getting tot he point where I need to do some preventative measures with my truck too, before it gets bad. Seems like ive done a ton of highway driving in the winter, and they salt the hell out of the roads up here too.

Thats a tough one man. If that was the only thing you were doing under there, then I probably would do it with the box on. You definately get a better job with the box off though as everything is exposed, and I mean you can go wild and repaint or recoat a ton of stuff while your under there, like the gas tanks for instance.
I took the box off of my 91 reg cab shortbox 4x4 project, cause I plan on coating the underneath of the box, and inside the fenders when I get to it, to prevent rust from ever happening on the fenders where these trucks are notorious for it.
Taking the box off isnt that difficult, just takes a little time, and a torch/plasma for those rusty bed bolts sure makes things faster!

Yes it does but not much I can do to change it I guess.
Gonna go to a buddies after work and watch the MN Twins in a one game playoff with the Detroit Tigers to see who wins the division. The winner goes to New York and plays the Yankees tomorrow in the first round of the regular playoffs.
