So I finally got my truck back. And it's awesome. But now I'm off to emissions and then I'm gonna go visit my "grandma."
She's not technically my grandmother, but is more of one than my biological grandmother ever was.

Went to the first place and they said no diesels. Went to another place and got it tested. Was a buy there with an 03 Cummins and he was pretty cool. We got to talking and it was pretty cool to be able to talk to another diesel guy without somebody feeling a need to bash the other guy's truck.
Anyways I got .5% out of 20% allowed opacity. So next I gotta go back to DMV and get my permanent plates. I just taped my temp in place for now.

Nick, I am thinking you and dad may want to plan on heading home some other way. They are not likely to make a decision in a timely manner and then they still need to do the work. You could easily be waiting another week or more.

And for the record electrical tape works really well for holding on a temporary license plate. It held up to 75mph today.
