Part V
Just got out of the attic, finally put all the Christmas totes and crap up there. It's already getting warm up there..... At least we can finally put the boys car in the garage since he can't drive it until March when he gets his lic back. That day can't come soon enough for me, and him I supposed. lol.
Getting ready to head over to mom's house to let the girls ride their quads, meet my little brother's future father in law (if he doesn't screw up this realtionship) and have some of my dads famous BBQ ribs! I just hope the family is in a better mood then yesterday, they were on a roll with me......
Im one of 16 houses in my neighborhood. Nothing EVER happens here not that everyone has moved or grown up. Wellllllllllllll I get home around 330 this morning and see a car leaving our 2 street neighborhood. Didnt think anything of it. When I woke up today I get phone calls from the neighbors asking if I had gotten robbed or anything broken....
That car at 330 this morning then popped into my head and I got pissed. I shouldve known something was strange, no one here works anything but a regular 9-5. They completely hit the street Im not on so Im on a mission tonight....boy will they be in for a surprise! Loaded and ready...

When I was younger a neighbor of mines sister used to ride her horse with a bikini on when the bus would drop us off. Had a bus full of 13 year olds lusting after her...and for some reason I think she knew it and like it!
Sorry to hear that your neighborhood is getting messed with..... and on that note------
Right now theyre only goin for unlocked things...cars, garages, barns...
All my junk stays locked up...
Everything progresses though, so no telling when/if they will evolve into actually breaking in...
Suddenly, the child calls,"daddy , the sink wont drain, and its leaking."
I walk upstairs and I see all of the towels all over the copunter, the wife is under the sink. Sure enough, there is no water draining. I go, get the plunger, walk in the bathroom, place it over the sink, clogg the breather hole, and one good plunge..
The wife crawls out from under the sink, a little wet, and angry...
I then trun the water on, crawl under, and there is water leaking down the drain pipe.. No biggie.. I attempt to loosen..I attempt again.. then get a wrench..
Nothing is coming loose..
So I try to take it from the wall.. I get that loose by hand, I finally get the piece coming down from the sink loose, I pull, and find out that the pipe, that goes into the wall, through the compression fitting, is busted, right at the compression fitting.
I get my hammer, a crew driver,, and tap at it..and tap..then a little harder.. then a little.. you get the picture.. It is going no where.
So, not being a plumber.. I run off to the hardware store to see what could possibly going on inside of that wall.
Looking around, I come up with what might just be the answer. So, I run back, grab a saw, and attempt to cut at the seem of what I feel is the two fittings..I run back with my parts. and try to see what can rigged..Note,, there is no coulping for the outside of a 2"coupling..No mattere how many stores you go to..
Now, I have to cut the dry wall out to get to the fitting
I get in there, and the damn pipe is ran right through the studs.. the water supply lines are in front of the PVC drain line..
Not wanting to repipe the whole house, I decide to cut as close to the fitting as I can.. the problem with that,, the good pipe will not move, up or down, to allow me to slide the fitting out of the damn 2x4.. So, I cut, a little more dry wall, and then a little more pipe..still no go..
Now, I am getting a tad PO'd.. MY 5 year old keeps looking at my red face and asking.. "dad, are you okay"..(You know that moment in life, where you really just want to be left alone.. and some one keeps poking at ya.. )
yes son,, thank you
I cut a little more dry wall, and a little more pipe......
Here, in the wall, there are a double set of studs, the wall is almost double the thickness, I climb up in th attic, I move all of the insulation around.. and yeah, both set of studs are functional!!!!!!
I knotch out the 2x4..run off to ACe, and attemp to get all of the fittings, with out running back and forth for the rest of the day.
Knowing that I can not move any of the pipe, I buy those rubber couplings ( I love those) I buy the whole under the sink drain kit.. and I try for my 2" to 1 1/2" reducer T..
The t, they dont have.. No Biggie, I will just buy the reducer and shove that in,, right??
I get back to the house.. I measure everything up, stick it togther.. and it dont work.. See, that reducer t, use to fit into the stud hole that I notched out..the 2' t, with reducer, wont come close.. did I mention that I already glued all of this together..
So, I get to the hardware store, with this look on my face that doesnt seem to do well with drawing in customer assistance, I was good with that..Picked up my fitting again.. walk to up the same sweet old lady that rung me up the first time, she says" How ya doing" I snarl back " I have got the same damn fitting I had the first time I bought somehting here today.. how do you think I am doing"
I came home.. I have everything together, pull it appart, reassemled it in the wall, glued.. and now.. no leaks..
The good news, the neighbor had l;ocked himeself out of his tahoe this morning, I went oiver and got it open for him.. just as I wrapped the plumbing up.. he dropped off a 12 pack of beer..
any guess as to what I will be doing for the rest of the day..
