It was like 20 something here last night. 42 is the high today. I dont mind that one bit! It was 53 when I pulled my hub and everything...just great weather for it! Now Im waitin for another spell so I can do my front diff and transfer case fluids!
Very true Ray. I did notice a bit of a difference after as the locals said "You can tell that the northerners are here"
Did you ask any of them where they were from
in my part it is hard to find anybody from the south, but as you get farther north the type of people change they tend to wave if you drive a truck and you are really up-jake if you have a dog

I noticed that in Bradenton there are not alot of PSD a few 1/2 ton pickups running around. The people that I quoted were mostly employees in some of the stores we went to.

you tend to find more truck people as you go inland
I take meds so rarely that taking them tends to GIVE me a headache!
I get the same thing.
So after reading for a bit, seems most of you searched for your 7.3's for a while. I've been looking for the last 3 or 4 weeks, can't find anything suitable. CC short bed, 4x4, bare minimum. Not a single one. That's not even narrowing it a bit to power everything, stick and cruise. Calling for snow tomorrow, no big deal. I could have used a 4x4 last month though, with the what we're calling "Snow-mageddon" around here. Record 26 days of snow on the ground, record snowfall for December, record cross Canada white Christmas, etc. I figure if I can find what I'm looking for before next snow season, I'll be okay.

Joe you'll find one if you look hard enough. You might consider a trip down to the states to find one..although, I'm not sure what problems that might present trying to get it across the border. They are everywhere down here, and cheap too.
I found those just using "F250" on craigslist. There's plenty around here, and actually, I think I know of an F350 CC SB 7.3 white w/tan lower for sale.

I'm trying to keep the search local. Too much of a hassle bringing it across the border.
I could own one, but I can't register it without an inspection. Not saying a US truck wouldn't pass inspection, but there's a "limbo" thing about it. I had a 74 F250 I got from out of province, needed inspection, just too many hoops to jump through. I won't bother now.
And there are a few on Craigslist. Owners and dealers are out of their minds if they think they're gonna get what they're asking.
Don't give up the search yet Joe. I looked for 8 months before I found mine. I was so tired of looking I was going to give up the search for 3-4 months. I found my truck on the classifieds on this site on the last day of my search. Ended up driving 600+ miles to pick it up but it was worth it.
I've been trying to find a clean long bed for a couple years.I missed one in SC last year that had less than 40k miles and nothing since
Seems they are all short.I can find lots of short beds,6.0s and dodges pretty reasonable
Just did a search locally around here...
I can only find 2003 models....1/2 of those are cheaper than the few 2000 and 2001(lot more miles) models I could find! Absolutely no 2002s at all!

The second link they claim it gets 20 mpg city and 24 hwy. I doubt it!!
I actually only really looked for a couple weeks when I bought mine. Bought it from a private party for $22,000 with 34,000 miles on it. That was a good deai here at the time.
We had already bought our camper and then started looking for a vehicle to pull it. DOH!
Here's some videos I've found so far. I can't find the video of the idiot running his foot over with a mini though. Gimme a while and I might find it again.
