Good morning all!!
LOL. Well I got all mad, and he explained that he was in "bachelor mode" at the time and was thinking that he didn't want to leave any guns in the house in case we had a breakin, since we'd be gone most of the weekend and we haven't yet gotten a safe set up to lock them up.

Good morning everyone.

I didnt get to sleep until 4 am.

Good grief. Well...hopefully he has a round chambered and. We don't need people that dumb shooting guns.

You'd be surprised. Some people lose all common sense when in the presence of firearms.

Glocks are dangerous. A standard trigger on a Glock is about a 5 lb pull, similar to most revolvers. A Glock is cocked whenever a round is chambered...and like I said most Glocks have extremely light triggers...so all it takes is a "bump" and its possible to accidentally fire one. Its similar to walking around with a revolver with the hammer pulled back.

Speaking of firearms, Randy took off for Omaha tonight, and I am stuck here until Saturday. He took his guns with him, and snagged my .357 too. My rifles are being stored in Nebraska, and without my .357, I have no way to protect myself! And I am home by myself for two days. UGH!

Sounds like you need to get your CCW so that if he goes in to "bachelor mode" again at least you'll have something!

4AM your time... still the same as CO? You could have been my wakeup call! hahahaa What's keeping you up so late?

OH, and Lisa, I may want to call & chat with you about the size trailer you used for moving, what fit in it, etc. if you don't mind. Trying to plan my exodus.

EDIT: be sure to give Randy a smack on the head when he gets home "you know why!"...

4 AM my time is actually 3 AM your time.

And Randy...yeah he's never lived with a woman before. This past few months has been his first go round...and he does a lot of things without thinking about how it affects me. I been smackin him on the head a lot lately. LOL.

I've had a cold the past week that I just cannot shake. I'm fine during the day but I haven't been sleeping.

I got a 6' x 12' trailer enclosed. For cross country moves, it will be the biggest one you'll be able to get your hands on. Period.

I figured a 6' x 12' would be the biggest I could rent, and with the size of my furniture (armoire is HUGE) I'm considering buying a 16' x 8' bumper pull trailer. That way I can resell it once I get where I'm going.

That's what I did with my move.I actually bought two 16x7s one used and one new and will sell at least one when I get them unloaded

I went to the factory and bought the new one and saved a bunch so I can actually turn a profit on both when I sell them

Yeah. I also considered buying a car trailer, and building sides and a top for it. I found one in Denver at the time, for like $1500 was in nice shape.

But I decided it was in my best interests to just get rid of a bunch of stuff I didnt need and managed to squeeze two beds, several chairs and a ton of boxes into that little trailer. I bet it weighed 8,000 lbs. lol

I'm REALLY easygoing. Randy is actually cleaner than I am.

For example, one night I had dinner in the oven. He comes home, apparently doesn't smell dinner cooking, and while I am upstairs, he zaps some chicken nuggets in the microwave and inhales them, and now my efforts of making dinner are wasted.

Or, ill get up in the morning, make coffee, and have a cup...by the time I make it back in for a 2nd cup, its all gone...and there isn't any more brewing either.

LOL.

There was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the
family business.

When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father
died, he decided he needed a wife with whom to share his fortune.

One evening at an investment meeting he spotted the most beautiful woman he
had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away.

"I may look like just an ordinary man," he said to her, "but in just a few
years, my father will die, and I'll inherit 200 million dollars".

Impressed, the woman obtained his business card and three days later, she
became his stepmother.

Women are so much better at financial planning than men.

Bad day today.

One of my best guys tripped over his feet while walking up to a piece of equipment, put his hands out to break his fall and got one of them caught in a big roller that turns steel tubing. The end of his hand was a bloody, mangled mess.

I hate having my guys get hurt. Unlike most managers, I take it personally. Hoping he will be alright and that he can come back to work soon.

Ok Lisa you called my bluff. I think my wife would frown on that.

I have been fighting a cold also. Hard to sleep at night but days are fine.

Scott, sorry to hear that. Hope he gets well soon.

I loved lving with a woman. It definitely had its perks!

The farm thing didnt bother me too much. I lived in Richmond for 3 years on a MAJOR artery of the city. Those late night parties and everyone in the 2 bathrooms and have to go...front door opened and right on Broad Street I went...
I remember de-icing the base of a parking meter one time!

I cant even imagine what that looked like or felt....slamming fingers in doors is painful enough...
