The best part is that I told the dealer that I didn't need to buy this truck, I want to buy it. You need to sell the truck. I walked out the door after we couldn't make the deal. On Monday morning the owner called me and I got the deal that I wanted.
We did that in one dealership and we went back a week later and found out the salesman had been fired that dealt with us. We wondered why we didnt hear from him!
Our sales lady we finally ordered from was retiring in a few days and we were her last possible "real" sale. Her husband was the general manager and it seems like she wore the pants in the relationship and in the workplace. She came back with a price lower than we were hoping and we pulled out our Ford credit card credit and her mouth dropped when they had to take another 3,000 or so off!

So here are a couple pics from last night's show:

These bison were H U G E. These photos are not touched-up, tweaked, or modified at all. And no, that horse is not small by any means either. Look at the trailer they're on top of.... to think 60 MILLION of them used to roam the American West...

My truck kinda found me... I knew I wanted one, and almost bought a 2000 F350 in green, but then backed out. He would tow a big trailer with snowmobiles, some chip, and no gauges at all. Then I drove past a local dealership and there she was.... total time from deciding to buy to finding Nyx... about 6 months I guess.
EDIT: Oh yeah, today's snowboarding.... 2nd run some IDIOT FRIGGIN SKIER mashes in to me HARD. Why is it that skiers, who are positioned to have a better view than snowboarders, always cause me grief and come the closest to hitting me??? It took a minute for me to be able to stand up, and now if I sit too long my muscles stiffen up. I still got a bunch more runs in (nice untouched 4" of powder in places) and then bailed early. The drive home was OK, but getting out of the truck.... O U C H I E ! ! ! !
Skiers hate us dude, we're knuckle draggers to them....I avoid them like the plaque up here. They are almost always cocky and want to throw down....jerks. Just my experience though.
Dude, those bison are huge!!! I had no idea....Great pics!!!
No pics of you all cleaned up with a cowboy hat on??? LOL.....
4 months for me. I looked at the online listing for my truck several times before i even considered going out to look at it.
I looked here for so long, and usually by the time I called the truck was gone...When I found this truck, someone had vandalized the side of it so I didnt give it another look. I made a low ball offer and walked, then told them to repaint the bed if they wanted me to come back... 3 days later they called, truck was all fixed and the bed just needed buffed and polished, not repainted...My financing rate dropped to around 3.8%...so that was good, I signed and drove off.... Within 24 hours the VSS went out, and then I found you guys!!!!
I know how ya feel about the soreness, Brendan. For gym on Friday we got 20 guys or so together and played snow football on the soccer field. There was probably 8 or 10 inches of snow on the field so we played tackle because there was snow for cushioning.
My quads are still sore. It's amazing how quickly I got out of shape. 3 months ago I did sprints up and down that field for hours and didn't feel it the next day. Now I can't even kinda jog along for an hour without being sore. I most DEFINITELY don't want to get old. I can't even imagine how sore I'll be then.
On another note I bet we won't be seeing the annoying guy at my school for a while. EVERYONE wailed on him when we were playing football. He spent more time laying in the snow than he did standing up.

Good deal! When I bought, trucks were also selling within days. My truck, for some reason...I dunno what it was. But I hesitated going to look at it, and apparently everyone else did too...because the original owner said he hadn't had ANYONE come by to look at it. He was so excited to see a potential buyer, after I told him $14,000 was all I could afford..he said "heck, you can have it for $13,000!" I think the listing he put on the web had a really crappy picture on it, made the truck look weird.

I used to feel th same way. I'm 42 and have arthritis in both knees and my right shoulder. I should have been smarter and used knee pads and stuff when i was younger, but back then it was'nt the "cool" thing to do in the trade.........I sould'nt have listened to them.
Awesome Lisa!! I cant believe you got that truck for 13.....I wont even say what mine was...Lets just say I bought at the worst time when they were holding there value and then some....ouch
Jim, thats too bad about not wearing gear man. The guys I worked for didnt think it was cool at all either and you know the comments that fly when your the only one wearing knee pads on the site...nuff said... Now, I wear whatever is needed, screw em...
I usually don't get too sore from stuff, even at 38. But this was on hardpacked snow, no powder, and I got hit so that I went on to my back side, not the front, so no chance of breaking my fall with my arms. I was really hoping to run tomorrow too, but no chance of that. Maybe on Wednesday.
Nope, no cowboy hat pics. I went solo since my date decided to forget we had plans together. Some of these CO chicks..... manners are just ....
I paid $18,600 + taxes, etc. for mine. I could get it for tons cheaper now, but would I be able to find it...? done is done and I'm glad I have her.

I only had what I had..couldn't afford anything more. Thats part of the reason it took me so long to find a truck. lol
