Wow....you guys have averaged 23 posts per hour since this one started back up. At this rate you guys are looking at an almost 4000 post week.

I've got to be honest with you here guys....I'm not really looking forward to changing out the o/t every other day, so I'm going to move and redirect this one and we'll see how it goes for a couple of days.

 

lol.... Please don't do that. Pretty much impossible for that to work. It could possibly jam a channel or two, but the cell bands are made of thousands of channels, counting the 800/1900 MHz band, and now the 1700/2100 MHz "AWS Band" is coming online, and 700 MHz not that far behind. The military spent millions on a box to do that -- if it could be done with a "two-pill" CB box (which runs WAAAAY below cellular bands -- 27MHz) it would be a hell of a solution that you should work on. FWIW, I have what you could call a "four pill" box that puts out 500-600W down there (no, not CB!), and my phone works just fine......

And if you jam in the cell phone bands and get caught, your fine could very well be more than any kind of damage the driver would do. Besides, even if it worked, people would be jacking with their phones even more trying to figure out why they're not working. I would be.

Here's the thing, folks: Distracted driving is ALREADY against the law in every state I'm aware of. A new law just for cell phones is dumb. Police should enforce the existing one if the driver is driving like an idiot because of the phone. I think a person that isn't driving like an idiot shouldn't be punished because of the ones that do (kind of like gun laws, but I don't have a T-shirt).

I'm headed to Mickey Ds -- got a craving for a McFlurry. Would LOVE a Sonic Blast, but they don't have Sonics here.

 

The OT was a cool idea when it started, but it just got too damn long, it's posted in just way too much. Too much technicalities associated with it, it has seen it's glory days.

 

I personally would not waste my money on any headphone with "noise cancelling". Been there, done that. BIG waste of money. To get true noise cancelling technology is way more that portable headphones can handle. That is from what I have heard anyway. I bought a pair of pretty expensive Sony brand. Don't cancel as much noise as my finger in my ear does.

I will ask permission next time Lisa. Maybe!

Evening everyone! My scans went fine I think...... I was in the tube for a little over an hour. I didn't think anything could be louder than an MRI but I was wrong, the MRA is louder. Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

lets see, we have a texting ban in like 3 cities here in Az. I am guilty of talking and driving almost everytime I get in the truck. I have also drove and text before also, I got out of that habit though!

That's all I can remember right now...... My brain is pretty foggy right now, I think it is from my meds but who knows.

I understand you don't care for it, Kris. Can you or anyone name one of those "technicalities"? It's not like it's HURTING anyone. This is a completely harmless thing that lots of us enjoy. A VERY small minority apparently have issues with it. Last time I checked, you can't make everyone happy all the time. But to **** on so many peoples' campfire because a couple don't like it doesn't make sense, and is borderline rude. Seems awfully simple to just not click on the damn thread if you don't like it. Yet here you are.

My McFlurry is hitting the spot, BTW. I got a RoyAL w/ Cheese to go with it though....
