Yup. If I get caught out later than that I can have my license suspended and get some nice fines and I also get to spend some time in a courtroom. FUN.

Did I mention I hate my state?

Nope! But I stuck to the roads I knew. I probably took the long way around in getting to places, but oh well.

Had to stop in a gas station and ask the gal where I might find a car wash big enough for the truck. This town is not truck friendly, and you should see the way people look at red. Kind of funny.

Oh. Forgot one more total BS law.

You can't use your cell phone AT ALL when you're in the truck for the first year you're driving. In our state you're supposed to have some sort of ear piece for your phone in order for it to be legal, but nobody does. However for me they could suspend my license if I use my phone at all.

Nah, I don't get hassled for anything really...uh except speeding. lol

In the states tinted windows are only illegal on the windshield. On other windows, you just have to be able to see through them. With my tints, people can't see me from the outside. I prefer it that way.

Ma'am, I don't really know. I know I got a whole bunch inhalation therapy stuff to try and if it works I will let you know. Thank you for asking and caring, that includes everyone in our own little corner of the world here.

No offense bud, but I personally think that most of the drivers that use a cell phone while driving, shouldnt be allowed too, especially new drivers.

When your a new legal on the road driver, things need to be done to help the new driver get to be more experienced good driver, and that IMO is definatly one of them!

Damn that must be nice! Up here its very limited on how much tint you can use on your side windows. I also believe they tell ya it has to be factory tinted, or they can ticket ya and tell ya to take it off.

It's not really that I feel that is too restrictive since I use a whopping 15 minutes a month on my cellphone.

However I feel that if they are going to impose a ban on it for younger people they should have it for older people as well.

I can tell you right now that my driving is better than the soccer mom who is on her phone, putting on lipstick, and yelling at the kids in the back seat all while trying to drive. That is the dangerous person.

It's also annoying that they can suspend your license first time for pretty much anything.

I had the windows in my Outback tinted to 20% all around. Had it that way for 6 years, and only once had a PO warn me about it verbally. just the factory stuff in Nyx for now, but I may tint her next summer; we'll see.

Not sure how current this is, but CHECK HERE for limits on tinting

I see that the OT has been busy today.

Been busy here too. cannot wait to go home. One cool thing today though, used Jezebel to pull a BIG forklift and two BIG steel bars out of the mud out in the material yard.

Lots of guys standing around watching too. I had a little bit of puffy chest afterwards.

Forgot to mention I almost took out an Impala with my drop hitch today. Some woman, riding *** putting on makeup.

BRAKE CHECK! I figured she needed a more sultry look, sultry as in mascara smeared across her face.

Of course Mark. Keep us updated on your progress. If we've learned anything its that you are a tough bird.

I agree 100%. I think cell phones should be banned for ALL drivers, even experienced ones. I know I might get flack for that, but I think 100% of a person's attention should be kept on the road, especially when driving an 8,000# hunk of steel.

Cant argue with ya there! Although the argument could be that an older person has more experience doing that then a new driver... Who knows!

As for the soccer mom driver, well man, thats most women drivers haha

Not all, and especially not the young lady drivers in this O/T thread
