I'm sorry Brendan, but I gotta scratch my head over folks that take pictures in public restrooms.

The ice is to keep the place from smelling like pi$$, of course. All the high-end clubs do that -- you musta been partying in a fancy joint. lol...

I'm at the airport hopefully to catch a flight out 4 hours early...

I have never used a screw drive saw. How does it react compared to a regular saw? Is it the torque thing on start up? Is not Dewalt owned by Skil now or something along those lines?

Just did a Google search:

Black & Decker (the corporation) is distinct from "Black & Decker" the brand; the latter is used by more than one corporation. In particular, "Black & Decker"-branded household products in the Americas (but outside of Brazil) are marketed by a division of Applica, a Florida-based corporation much smaller than Black & Decker Corporation.

The Black & Decker Corporation markets its name under various brands:

DeWalt Power Tools
Porter Cable
Delta Machinery
Kwikset
Baldwin
Weiser Lock
Price Pfister
Emhart Teknologies
Oldham Blades
Black and Decker Firestorm

When I was y'alls average age I thought I was too damn tough for anything to actually ever hurt me. I would either kill myself drag racing or on some dumb construction accident because I was taking a short cut that would make me lots of money or kill me. I never thought smoking might ever be a factor in my life that might actually harm me. If you happen to be a smoker quit now or are talking to your children about how stupid it is, point this link out to them, or print it like I did.

Mostly the torque on start up, yes. Some are a lot worse than others.

DeWalt is owned by Black and Decker, IMO a company that manufactures nothing but junk for the most part. It is a shame they had to buy a company like DeWalt that was well known for quality. Skil is owned by Bosch, a quality company, but the quality of Skil has gone way down since the 60's and 70's. My only remaing Skilsaw was made in 1965 and is irreplaceable as far as I'm concerned. My boy will end up with that. I have never heard the term "screw drive" so can't answer that question. Sorry.

I can see it now. Joe riding around in the back of a Verizon van asking "Can you hear me now?",and me following the van yelling into my CB.

I can understand it. I've done google searches on things before and ended up with links to FTE. My wife was searching for info about the new F150's and forwarded me links to FTE articles. I think Ken is more worried about the google search than our won internal search. It does seem to make sense moving the closed O/T's into the general forum, but I'm not sure if that part of the forum is filtered from a google search or if it would still get hits.

Oh, and congrats on the grand baby old man.
I really believe the glucosamine/chrondoitin is helping me...

I have 2 inhaler scripts and even with insurance it costs me $100 a month...
when I saw the Dr last month he said I am doing well enough to just use the advair...so only $57 a month

Well the tire dept. was only 100 yards away, but all they will do is put the spare on for me. So I just left it there and had my landlady come get me. They will not repair tires not purchased from them, but will put my spare on for free. Hope it has air in it, or will at least hold air. Now I will take the towbar and the PSD and pick it up.
shoulda asked them to borrow the tire plug tools....but if you are a member they should have fixed it for you...

Advair is one of the ones I am using. It's $247.00 retail per month.

They just called me, tire is junk. Only a couple months old so it had better have road hazard on it. I am going to pick it up in a few minutes. My spare will not hold air either.

She's a 4x4, with 4" of lift, on 33" tires that are 13" wide. 15-17 is about 1-2 MPG better than what I was getting with the 7.3.

I agree, they were going to change it for free. But they would not even loan me their floor jack and it's in the 40's here and I ain't going to spend very much time outside anyway. The tire has been cut completely around on the inside, by what I am clueless, but if it was not done by the chassis, it must be a road hazard. Right?

One of my old bosses (millionaire) gave me a purse as a gift one time. Well when I was selling my house, I was cleaning out and decided to give it to my sister, not really my style. She looked it up on ebay, apparently it was a designer purse of some kind, used ones selling on ebay for big bucks. D'Oh! She likes it though!

Really? Because I've seen that picture on emails and on the net before. Hilarious picture.

Agreed. Last tire shop I went to fixed my flat, balanced, and aired up the other 3 tires for free..oh and they put the spare back under the truck.

Well guys, got back from Black Magic Diesel. Front brakes were shot, so I went ahead and had him do those since we had it up on the lift. Tranny passed inspection with flying colors. Used fluid had not one speck of metal in it.

Also, we discovered the source of my front end clunk. Bad balljoint on Driver's side... Pooey.
