Let me know if you have any questions on the LXT stuff, I've been running it hard for awhile now, and it refuses to quit. Great tools.

Tristan -

Check around on CL or Ebay - I bought a 14.4v Makita set with 1/2" impact, drill, light, charger, and batteries for each in a carry bag for about $110 shipped to me.

Brent - did you check out Kaskade's new track yet? Step One Two

Y'all tell me, does this fall in the good, or bad luck category? I took the Vdub which was very low on gas to Costco to fill up for 1.54, just as I am pulling out after putting 13.904 gallons in a 14 gallon tank the attendant pounds on my rear body 1/4 telling me I have a flat tire. Well the tire dept. was only 100 yards away, but all they will do is put the spare on for me. So I just left it there and had my landlady come get me. They will not repair tires not purchased from them, but will put my spare on for free. Hope it has air in it, or will at least hold air. Now I will take the towbar and the PSD and pick it up.

yeah, it's not super heavy - a nice 'cool down' track that doesn't kill it

I always had doubts about tool on ebay but if you had good luck with them I will definitely check them out. I wouldnt mind a different brand for my impact if its 1/2 vs. 1/4 and 130 bucks cheaper!

Don't worry, I use my time in Nam to pay for all of my meds. I do not even have to pay a deductible there. I can also use Medicare if I want, but I do not feel like I did anything to deserve that and can you imagine the fun a few members in the Club would have with that piece of information??? LOL

I hope you're talking worm drive here. I have both Skil and DeWalt 6 1/2 inch worm drives. I take the guards completely out and can get the 7 1/4 blades in. Do you know that in Southern California and you go looking for a framing job and can't use a worm drive with a lot of skill, you ain't gonna get hired?

I gave it more than a couple of seconds and did not figure out. Am I of the wrong generation to pick up on that?

I am, but in the 7 1/4 size. The skilsaw is superior, but at nearly 2 pounds heavier, and 2 amps LESS powerful, the DeWalt made more sense. Plus is comes with an integrated framing hook, so you save some money right there. Actually, now that I think about it, the DeWalt is a sidewinder....

Ok that's good was just wondering cause I have friends the are vets and have little if any medical expences,a few do prefer to go to private doctors but still get meds through VA
The medicare drug plan sucks the best I can figure, the part A and B is better than nothing but where I am health care is a premium so still have to pay a bunch
My meds run about $300 a month not counting new on i got tuesday
I haven't got the sticker skock from my last hospital visit and stress test yesterday but will probly get a stroke when I do and will gnaw at my truck budget for sure, but it really only needs four more tires

That tells me a lot about your skills. Just the fact you can use a worm drive. Back East it's funny as hell watching a so called carpenter trying to use one. I was once doing a huge apartment complex, building after building exactly the same. By the third one I did not even need the prints anymore. I started putting in let in braces where I thought it would make plumb and lining much easier and add a lot to the structural integrity. The architect liked them so much he made all the subs on this huge project start using them. You talk about funny.......I still laugh about it to this day. You can't do it with a sidewinder unless the wall is standing up first. So here these clowns were snapping lines on their walls without being bright enough to plumb them first. Let me tell you, it's a good thing I had about a 20 man crew cuz I would have gotten my *** killed or at least kicked real good over that. The only reason I have the DeWalt is because of the weight factor, the Skil is a 10 times better product. I think OSHA may have made DeWalts version illegal for some reason. That is what my son told me anyway, he too is a carpenter. DUMMY!!

You've got it. I was in a bathroom and using that had dryer, read it, and just had to snap a pic of it. I've got one of 3 urinals filled with ice too. Weird bathroom pics are amusing... but NOT of people!!

Mark, LMFAO!!!!! Good story!
Dont even get me started on Makita's Hypoid saw...I love watching people nearly kill themselves with that thing. That is one scary saw. So much initail torque, that if your not ready, it will break your wrist.
