Now that is a friend right there.
Here's what happend to me today,my wife and second daughter left to do some last min. shopping. My little gril went to the bathroom before she left, about 20mins after they left I heard the tolit still running.I went in to jiggle the handle and stepped in a couple of inches of water .So I shut off the water, ran down to the basement to see water raining out of the floor above. So the clean up begain,I pulled down the insulation that was soked and dryed out everything that was wet down in the basement.have to see if the floor in the bathroom starts to fall apart anywere tomarrow, and check for other damage.first flood house I have had and I live on a hill.
Don't think I will be on here tomarrow so MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.
Thats all you need to do, screw it all down first. Pick a laminate with a backer already installed, so much easier... Then, float it right over the top of whatever you want. Linoleum or vinyl makes no nevermind to laminate. GO FOR IT!!!
Well a roll of rosen paper is 12 bucks for 500 sq ft. He has just under 500 to do total. The stuff with the backer is like 5-10 bucks more per 20sq ft and I dunno if he cares about the ease of anything!

Okay, but you will still need to use the foam backer they recommend instead of rosen though, or you could get pops and squeaks. Laminate needs to give a little in my experience. You could use that in combination, but not as a substitute. At least i wouldnt. If we are talking about a rental or selling it quick, then I suppose who cares.

What about using 4x8x1/4" underlay,we it used for my brother-in-laws house and it worked out nice.we screwed it down,no squeaks when you walk across it.
