Well hell. Jim talks funny, and I think he thinks I talk funny. Being from South Louisiana, I may talk funny. We talk like we talk, if I can understand you then you don't talk that funny. Jim's JL has a great voice. I can understand her better then Jim. (Megawhatt00). The one we don't hear from no more.
You dont have to go into the pricing. I know exactly how it is. I was in the car audio biz and it was ridiculous how much markup there is on stuff. But when you have lots of overhead youve gotta pay for it somehow! I was a sponsor for one of the hockey teams we had down here a few years ago, it was unreal what the sponsors had to pay, I can imagine the fees they impose on vendors. Look at beer...7 bucks for a 22oz!
I love Buffalo Wild Wings. I actually looked into their franchise but they wanted you to buy a territory and start a minimum of 2 up. One...ok, two, no way I was willing to pump that amount of money into something at the same dam time!
Thats exactly it, we have to cover the costs on everything else at that adds up quick.
I dont blame you, opening one store would be enough work, I cant Imagine trying to get two open unless you had already hired two full time managers.

Thanks Bud! I think that we understand each other, even with the accents, very well.
I'm going to pm Scott and let him know that I am going to put the OT thread back into our forum. I will have to lock it out after 300+ posts. With any luck I'll do it tommorow for all of us.
They are one of our customers (at least down here), and the great thing about them is you CAN have a franchise without the hard liquor license, you can do it with just a beer license.
Another good one is Beef O'Bradys.
the best of all franchises to own, is Chic-Fil-a
and to tell you the truth the Dippin dots is one of the most expensive (as far as product cost). Simply for the fact that their dots have to be transported in dry ice containers from the distributor.
The closest Buffalo WW to me is in Colonial Heights. When they first started throwing the idea around they found out CH had old "blue laws" or whatever. You cant serve alcohol past midnight! Not only that you cant buy alcohol before 3pm on Sundays.
This one has a terrible time keeping their ABC license. They had ABC officials in there for almost 2 months after they were caught serving a 16 year old!

The only problem is your never on here anymore
We will have to police ourselfs then and make sure we shut it down at about 300 posts if it doesnt get shut down by any Mods.

One of my buddies just bought his 1st house and got the keys tonight! Just got back from looking at it. Ive gotta "rent" my paint sprayer, air compressor, nailers, mitersaw, and my half@$$ knowledge to him this weekend. Im worried that the inspector didnt look at the roof too well. The drywall joints on the ceiling look like theyve had damage. Especially the ones next to where the latex paint bubbled...Guess ya get what ya paid for! Guess thats the maintenance man in me kickin in!
I got a question for Brent or any other contractors in here...
I dont know if you mess with this, but would you do hardwood or laminate in the kitchen/dining room? I told him to go with laminate because we could do the install and save some money. Laminate initial cost is less than hardwood too isnt it?
Laminate is way less than real hardwood, so I would go that route myself. There are some great laminates these days and you can fake a lot of people out. I have laminate mahogany in my front sitting room and a lot of people cant tell the difference. Most of them are a no glue system as well as having the backer already attached so the ease of installation is quite the bonus. You can do an entire room in a matter of hours now.

Im neither, but I do have an opinion
Cost being a factor, UNLESS he is gonna stay in his first house for many years (which some people do) I would go laminate. It is easy as pie to install. My woman has actually done this place, and our first house in mainly laminate, and she insisted on doing it herself, she loves doing it, and does a great job.
The place before this one, we layed ceramic tile, and carpet, but she wanted to do laminate!
