Do you guys have pretty big elk down there too?

We try to have get togethers, but lately they havent been working out. Last year we had some good ones, had one that had about 20ish members even!

Arizona is definitely the best place in the WORLD to hunt Elk. My favorite unit here has 4 of the top 10 in the world, including #1 for typical. Non typical I would say that New Mexico has the record if I'm not mistaken. I held the July G2G at my house for our Chapter. Good times and great pictures! Cris tried to hide the one taken of her butt.....but you KNOW that leaked out right Cris?

Scott - Sorry to hear about Dallas. I hope she's doing better.

Leo - Well, had a few showings this weekend, but I've had my stepmom and stepsister here since Friday night. Also we spent the weekend going through my dad's garage. He loved to collect tools, so we spent forever going through all that stuff trying to decide who gets what. Not fun. Also, my doggie decided to go into estress yesterday. When I adopted her I was told she was fixed (she had stitches in her tummy) but...I guess I was lied to. Must have been stitches from a C-section.

Went and visited my uncle (my dads little brother)) in the hospital today too. He is going through detox at the hospital and in a few days its off to rehab. He tried to drink himself to death. a bottle of whiskey a day for a week. He is jaundice and 40 lbs thinner than when I last saw him and looks awful. He took my dad's death really hard, his job went down the crapper, and his wife cheated on him and for whatever reason he couldn't talk himself into leaving her. They still live in the same house and I think she's still runnin' around on him. I guess he had an anxiety attack and decided to medicate himself.

Long story short: Its been kind of a tough weekend.

Mark - would you mind your own business? Sorry to sound hostile, but I wish people wouldn't worry about when and how much I post. I am tired of feeling like I have to explain myself.

Pop - Not trying to inflate post counts. Not my intention. If I look more credible than I really am, well, then I guess I apologize for that. I just enjoy getting to know folks around here.

Brad - Labs are great family dogs but you might also look into getting a Golden Retriever. Sweetest dog on the planet. But like any others you have to train them well and pay attention to them or they can be terrors.

Wow, What did I say? As I recall I said you were the most important ingredient in the O/T threads. Not a word about how much you post. In fact I miss you on the weekends. Sorry!

Well...........
Lisa and I are going through similar crap type stuff right now. It's that stuff that you simply cannot avoid, but just have to go through it.
Kriss's father has days to live due to lung cancer.
We just got back from the hospital and he is very weak, cannot even sit up without getting out of breath and he is on oxygen 24/7, plus morphine for the pain.
Hospice is being called in tomorrow.
That means nothing more can be done and now it is simply a matter of doing what can be done to make him more comfortable until the end.
Kriss is VERY torn up and all I can do is to be there for her when the tears come - many times a day.

To all of ya all (Lisa and Dan) that are having medical problems in your families, sorry to hear it. I wish that good people didnt have to go through that, maybe some lifers in prison could suffer instead.

Im kinda a post wh0re myself, I thrive in O/T stuff, cause it seems like i always got something to say!
